Chapter 22

"I can't believe you did that Rose!" James yells as we got into the car.  I look down at my hands upset that I was getting into trouble for this.

"Dude how is it her fault?" Vane asks pulling her seat belt on, I didn't bother with mine, not if I was going to get in trouble.  I didn't do anything wrong, in fact I am resorting back to when I was yelled at as a child.

"She could've stopped it!" He yells back at her then turns to glare at me. "Put your damn seat belt on."  He snaps as he turns the car on and starts the long drive home in silence.  As soon as we got home he turned to me and sighed.

"I am going to go out with Tom.  I will be back later."  I nod and get out with Vane right behind me.  I hear him drive away as I walk up the stairs to the house.  He obviously didn't want to deal with me because I was to much.  I let a tear fall as I went inside and up to our room to get my phone.  I found it laying on the bed where it must have fell earlier.  I unlock it and click on the one person I knew would want me.

"Hello?" He asks and I sigh trying not to let him know I was crying.

"I want to come home." I say and a sob comes out and I hear him talking to someone before someone else grabs the phone.

"Rose, talk to me, what is going on." I break, I don't know how to tell him I am hated, tell him how I will never be perfect for anyone.

"I just want to come home, I hate it.  I will explain later."  I tell him and he sighs.

"Okay, when will you be here?" 

"I am going to teleport, so ten minutes."  I tell him and he tells me they will be waiting then I go and start packing.  I am almost done when Vane walks in and looks at me.

"What are you doing?" She asks, I finish zipping my suitcase and turned to look at her.

"I am going home."  I tell her, I look away so she can't tell how much I don't want to.

"Where is your home?" She asks pulling me down onto the bed and lifts my chin so my eyes can meet hers.

"With my brother, adopted brother, and other family."  I tell her standing up.

"How are you going to get there?  James will never let you out of our lands."  I laugh.

"I am going to teleport." I tell her and she nods like it is logical.

"I am coming with you.  I wanna see the world, plus I can't keep a secret." She tells me and I laugh nodding.

"You need a bag."  I tell her and she pulls one out from under my bed.  I feel my eyes widen as I realize she hid one here.

"I always wanted to leave."  She says with a smile.  I nod picking my suitcase up, I walked over to her and touched her arm as she held her bag and teleported.

"ROSE!" Drake yells as we land and he jumps hugging me and I laugh hugging him back.  He stiffened in my arms and I look over at him like he is crazy.

"You okay?" I ask and he nods keeping his eyes on Vane.

"Mate." He says letting go of me and picking Vane up and twirling her around while she giggled like a little kid.

"Hey." She says when he finally sets her down.  She looks up at him with love in her eyes as she smiles like a love sick puppy.

"Whats your name?" He asks and she looks at me nervously and signaled for me to help her.

"Drake, this is James' sister Vane.  Vane this is my older brother Drake."  I introduce, Drake puts his arm around Vane, and she leaned into his touch.

"Okay Rosaline, does James know you are here?" Zach asks and I look down ashamed.  I shake my head and he sighs walking away.

I walk away and into the living room with Drake and Vane hot on my tail.  I sit on the couch and turn on the TV.  Drake and Vane sit down on the love seat and I roll my eyes.  I hear the phone ring and Zach cuss loudly.  Me and Drake look at each other then stand up quickly to see what is going on.  Well I got up quickly, Drake had to set a sleeping Vane down into the chair.  We run into the Zach's office to see him talking on the phone.

"Don't worry we have them." Zach says with a sigh and I know who he is talking to.  "She is right here if you wanna talk to her."  He says and my eyes grow wide as Zach motions me over to the phone.  I grab Drakes hand and walk over to the phone taking it from Zach and sat in the chair still holding Drake's hand.

"Hello?" I ask and I hear a sigh of relief.

"Rose, thank god.  Why did you run away?"  I feel my heart melt when I her the heartbreak in his voice.

"I didn't do it and you won't believe me and then you left to go somewhere not even caring to hear my half of the story." I say gripping Drake's hand a little tighter.

"Rose, what is your side of the story." He asks with a sigh and I start crying and Drake drops down and hugs me.

"You got up to use the bathroom, me and Vane were talking when I sensed we were in danger.  I had her come to the bathroom with me because I was worried about her health." By now I was sobbing, Zach was looking at me sadly and Vane was in the door watching me as I revealed what I remember. "When I felt it had passed we went back out to finish our food.  When we got there I saw my dad and my mom, they talked to me for a minute and promised me something then left and set a fire so I would be blamed."  I tell him and he sighs not knowing what to believe.

"They set the fire right behind my sister who you just got done fighting with moments before?" He asks and I sigh looking at Vane.

"I would never hurt the people that matter to me."  I say and she shoots me a smile.  I know that Drake can sense she is here but I am his sister and I am crying, he knows I need him.

"Rose what did they promise you?" He asks.

"They are going to come back for me, and they are bringing an army."  I say truthfully and I hear him growling.

"I am coming." He told me and hangs up.

It is late, by almost a week and I am so sorry about that!  I have some problems at home so please don't kill me!
