Chapter 3

Frank POV:
I'm sitting in the car waiting for my mother to come back as she's just gone into Londis to get some dinner for tonight. I watch as the rain pours heavily outside; it looks almost as if we are in fog, the rain is that think. It rarely rained like this back in America. We had it every now and then, but to England this is normal.
Wait I just remembered that Claudia is walking home in this weather. How can she do that she must be freezing. I hope my umbrella it's keeping her out the rain. My thoughts we interrupted by my mother opening the boot to put the shopping in. She closed the boot with a loud slam.
"Jesus Christ!" I accidentally shout at the top of my lungs.
"Sorry my hand slipped and it slammed." My mother says as the quickly opens her car door and jumps in really fast.
"It's fine it just made me jump."
She starts up the engine and there was a moments silence. Until my mother breaks it.
"So make any friends today?"
I actually completely forgot to tell her about them.
"Yes I met a group of 10 and they all are so kind and funny."
"Awww, that's good what are there names?"
"Phil, Dan, PJ, Chris, Joe, Holly, Georgia, Jess, Azzy and Claudia."
"I've never heard of the name Azzy or PJ before, they are nice names. How did you meet them?"
"They are in my tutor. I got sat next to Phil and he introduced me to the others."
"They sound like a great group of people."

I threw was bag on the floor and collapsed on my bed. I get out my phone to see if Liam or Bailey have texted me. No messages. I wonder if they are even going to bother to text. They didn't even say good bye. A single tear falls down my face. I quickly slap it away. I've got to pull myself together. Forget about them focus on my new school and friends. Who needs them anyway I threw my phone across the room and hear a bang. Omg I hope I haven't broken it. I shoot up and go look at it. Thank goodness, it's not broken, I was worried it smashed.
I walk over to my desk which still has boxes on top of it from where I haven't had chance to sort it out my stuff. I grab my laptop and un plug the charger and sit back down on my bed. I went and logged myself onto my Facebook.
10 new friend requests.
Who could that be. I click too see that Phil, Dan, PJ, Chris, Joe, Holly, Georgia, Jess, Azzy and Claudia have requested to follow me. I quickly accept their requests and ask to follow back. Claudia immediately accepts me I click on to her profile and have a look. Her profile picture is the picture we all took today at lunch. I really want to step into this picture back to lunch today, I had such a great time. The last picture she posted was a picture of Joe and her snuggled on the sofa together. It looks incredibly sweet but I wish it was me. My mother suddenly enters my room and I quickly closed my laptop.
"What's the matter? Why did you close that in a hurry."
"You made me jump... that was all."
"Hmmm... Anyway I just came up to say that your fathers not coming home until Saturday. is that okay with you?"
"Yeah that's fine."
"Okay I just wanted to check. Love you."
"Love you too."
Then my mother exits the room.
