Chapter 4

Frank POV: 2 weeks later...
"Frank my love. I can't take you to school can you walk please?"
I hate walking to school. I've walked to school two times already I got lost the first time but now I know where I need to go. Typical, the day that I'm funny late I have to walk.
"Yeah sure."
I don't think I will have time for breakfast so I'm just going to pack my lunch and head off. But where have I put my bag? I run up the stairs and run into my room. I still can't seem to find it. I run out my room and spot it by the stair case. Omg it that where it was the whole time. I grab the bag and run back down stairs and into the kitchen where my mum is sat her computer. Doing something important but I don't really know.
"You off now then?" Mother looks round at me and smiles.
"Yeah I want to go and meet the guys before tutor."
"You know what if we leave now I can take you. It was just that I was waiting for a very important parcel to arrive and they want me to be here to be here to collect it."
"Okay I will be ready in about two minutes."
I run over the the fridge and open it. My mother has made my sandwich which she has put in tightly into a small box. But I'm not to sure what it is in it yet. I take the sandwich and stuff it in my bag.
"Ready!" I say to my mother who is still typing something on her computer.
"Okay. I will be right with you." I pull on my shoes and open the big oak front door and exit my house. My mother slowly follows.

Although we are driving quite fast, I still appreciate the vintage village. Most of the shops have started putting out their Christmas things and the houses have put up their decorations. Then something catches my eye.
"Wait that's Claudia!"
"Where?"
"Over there!" I point at Claudia walking along alone through the high street. She's wearing the black and white scarf that Joe gave her a few days ago.
My mother drives to a halt at the side of the road. I jump out the car and tap Claudia on the shoulder. She turns around quickly.
"Omg you made me jumps so much."
"Sorry I didn't mean too. Would you like a lift to school. I know it's only round the corner but still it's freezing."
"Awww thanks only if that's okay."
"Of course it is comeon then." I put out my hand. Wait why did I do that she has a boyfriend. Omg she going to be very confused. To my surprise she takes it, so I lead her to the car. And we drove to school.

"Thank you for the lift Mrs Gioia." Claudia says as we dive to halt at the drop off zone at the school.
"You are very welcome my darling. Do you walk past harpooner lane?"
"Yes. Is that the one with the big oak tree?"
"Yes it is. You should walk to ours in the morning and I could give you a lift?"
"Really? Only if it's not a problem. What time do you aim to leave?"
"Of course it's not. We aim to leave at 8:00."
"That's perfect thank you."
"No problem, you two have a good day I will see you later. Bye"
"Bye!" Me and Claudia spoke in sync. I look at her and laugh and so does she. We step out the car and wave good bye.
"That's so kind of your mum to do that for me."
"It's no problem." We stare at each other. Suddenly Georgia comes running up behind us. She scared me so much.
"Hey guys!"
"My god you made me jump." Claudia and I looks at Georgia.
"Sorry." Georgia says.
"Anyway shall we go to tutor." I suggest to the others be use its freezing outside. I have literal shivers down my spine.
"Yeah, why not it's so cold."
We all turn towards the school and head in.

Georgia and Claudia are talking about miss trustler again. She is our French and German teacher but apparently she moving to China. Which is sad because in those lessons we don't do anything but mess around. She is probably leaving because she hates us as a class.
We reach tutor but the window on the door has a giant sheet of black paper on it. But very badly seal taped on. Why's that there it never used to be. I look at the girls, they seem to be confused too.
"Whys that there?" Claudia looks at both of us.
"I was thinking the same thing." Georgia adds.
"I'm sure it's nothing. Let's just go in."
I open the door expecting nothing out of the normal but we see something that we probably weren't supposed to see. In the corner of the classroom, the two seats at the back I see Dan and Phil making out. Claudia, Georgia and I stand there stunned to see what we are seeing. Until Georgia shouts.
"DAN!?"
Dan and Phil jump out there skin and split apart. They look so embarrassed and guilty.
"Ummm... I can explain!" Dan looks straight at Georgia.
"It's fine." Georgia runs out the room with tear filled eyes.
"Georgia wait!" Claudia runs quickly after her. She maybe small but she's frickin fast.
But I stay.
I walk over the Dan and Phil and sit next to them. They seem to be just staring at the floor guiltily.
"So...?" Dan and Phil both stare up at me now.
"What have i done?" A single tear escapes Dan's eye and trickles down his cheek. And Phil goes over and gives him a gentle hug.
"Not just you, I did it to."
"I hoped no one would catch us. I was going to wait until i broke up with Georgia; but I couldn't help myself. It's okay with you Phil though, you and holly have already split up."
"When did you and holly split up Phil?"
"Yesterday afternoon, I started to break up with her but she said she thinks we are better as friends. We are still going to be great friends. I have know her since I was two years old."
"I love Georgia to pieces, but I don't think it's going to work. I love you Phil." Dan looks up at Phil and Phil looks down at him.
"You should try and talk to Georgia."
Dan looks at me as if I'm crazy.
"Yeah I think you should."
Then Dan looks at Phil as if he was crazy.
At this exact moment Claudia and Georgia walk in the room. Georgia's eyes look red and puffy. They walk over to us.
"Georgia I'm so sorry."
"It's okay Dan, I gathered you liked Phil."
"How?"
"You always talked about him, you always look at him, you guys are meant for each other."
Georgia is actually taking this very well.
"You mean that?"
"Of course I do."
Dan stands next to her and puts his arms out. They hug.
"Friends?" Dan says
"Of course."
Georgia smiles and breaks the hug.
"Now go kiss your boyfriend. I promise I won't run out the room." We all laugh. Phil goes over the Dan and their lips interlock. I look over at Georgia who looks happy.
Then the door opens. We all look frantically at the door and Dan and Phil brakes their kiss. Luckily it's only Azzy, Jess, Chris, PJ and holly. They walk over to us, some of them look very confused.
"What's going on in baes corner?" Chris asks us.
"Dan and Phil are now a couple." Georgia answers them.
"Aww that's so sweet." Holly, Jess and Azzy say in unison.
Everyone goes in their own conversations.
"Where's Joe?" Claudia looks at the door. "He's normally with Chris and PJ."
"I'm not sure have you messaged him."
"I've given him a text. but I got home last night and tried to call him 5 times but he didn't pick up. I'm really worried about him."
"I'm sure he's fine." I give her a reassured smile. She smiles back.
.............
Mr Brown walks in late. again.
"Sorry I'm late class. I've got some bad news." He puts his bag but his desk and stands in front of the class.
"This bad news if probably just we have no tutor quiz." Phil whispers to me. And we laugh. Then sir carries on.
"Yesterday afternoon Joe left England and he's gone to live in South Africa with his best friend."
I look over at Claudia. She looks heartbroken as if she could just break down into tears. Sir then speaks.
"Yeah it's quite sad. I guess you guys new about this before we did." He looks over at Chris, Azzy and PJ who then shake their heads.
"How very odd. Any way lets get on with the rest of tutor." Sir sits at his desk and logs onto his computer.
"Did he not even tell Claudia?" Phil turns to me.
"No, she said to me she tried to call him 5 times yesterday afternoon." Me and Phil look over towards Claudia who's not in her seat. I see he exit the room with a empty bottle of water. She probably asked to go and get some more water. But just to get out of the way so no one sees how upset she looks. I need to go and see if she okay but how?
"You need to go after her Frank." Phil says to me.
"But how I can't just run out of tutor?"
"Just ask to go to the lavatory."
I get up and head towards sir.
"Sir can I go to the lavatory?"
"Yes of course but be quick."
I quickly exit the room and run after Claudia.
Where could she be? She couldn't have go far. I hear the faint sounds of sobbing. Where is she? I walk into the social areas, too see Claudia curled up in a ball on the seat, crying her eyes out. I walk quickly over to Claudia and sit next to her. She looks up at me, with her red puffy eyes and smudged eyeliner. She sniffs. I feel so sorry for her, so I bring her in a tight, comforting hug. I feel her hug back.
"*sniffs* He didn't even tell me or say goodbye." She says in between sobbing."
"I'm sure there is a reason."
This exact second, I bleep goes off. It's Claudia's phone. She lets go of me and reaches into her pocket. I read her expressions on her face for answers. At first it's a little happy but then it's turns into a very sad expression. She freezes and drops her phone. She looks sadder than she just was. She curled back in her ball and cried louder.
"Claudia what happened?!" She shakes her head. She's crying so much she can't even talk. So I pick up her phone. The message reads.
Joe <3<3<3
I'm sorry I didn't say goodbye or even mention I'm leaving. I figured the school would tell you. So I've moved to South Africa with my best friend Caspar. I always used to mention him to you. So I've moved now, so I will probably never see you again so we aren't going to be a couple anymore. Tell the others I said goodbye and have a good life!
It feels as if there was no kindness or emotion put into that message she must be so heartbroken, I can't think of words to say to her.
"I'm so sorry Claudia."
I feel her hug me again so I hug back. She is still crying. I guess if that happened to me I would be crying too. Then I heard a little voice.
"Thank you Frank." I look at her face and she seem to have a little smile. I hug her tighter.
"It's fine, you have all your amazing friends and me to look after you."
I feel her hug me tighter.
