Chapter 5

Frank's POV:
I look down at Claudia, Who I'm still hugging. Although she's still crying, a smile creeps on her face as I squeeze her tighter in a hug.
"Feel any better to go back to tutor?"
"*sniff* yeah now I am." I give her a smile and she gives me one back. We break apart from the hug and stand up. Claudia picks up her bottle and stands next to me. We head off down the corridor. It's very cold in school they should put some heating on. A sudden warmth grabs my hand. It was Claudia's hand. I hold her hands all the way back to tutor. We don't talk to each other we walk in silence.

"Well you didn't take long at all." Phil says sarcastically as I sit back down.
"I went to find Claudia."
"I gathered that, is she okay?"
"Well I found her crying her eyes out in the corner, so I comforted her."
"Aww I hope she's okay now. I still can't believe he didn't say anything to her."
Then I remember the message.
"He has now. He sent her a message, but he didn't sound kind about it. Hopefully Claudia will show everyone at break."
"Did you see the message?"
"Yeah."
"Can you remember what it said?"
"Not off the top of my head, I will message her now and see if she can forward it on to me."
"Good idea."
I get out my phone and start typing a message. And send.
I look over at Claudia, she gets out her phone and she does something on it. Then I feel a buzz coming from my phone. I unlock it and read.
Yeah sure, here it is.
I scroll down to see the message.
"Here it is Phil."
Phil looks at my phone at the message.
I'm sorry I didn't say goodbye or even mention I'm leaving. I figured the school would tell you. So I've moved to South Africa with my best friend Caspar. I always used to mention him to you. So I've moved now, so I will probably never see you again so we aren't going to be a couple anymore. Tell the others I said goodbye and have a good life!
I look at Phil's face which is in a bit of a shock.
"There is no emotion put into this text. I feel so sorry for Claudia." Phill looks over towards Claudia and back at me.
"You should have seen her when she read the message."
"I can't even imagine."
I look over towards Claudia. She's now sitting with Azzy, Jess, Georgia, Holly and showing them the message.
"How could he do this to her? He was everything to her"

"Alright class! Head to your lessons!" Mr brown said to all of us.
I pick up my bag and swing it onto my shoulder and look at my timetable. I have science first. I like where I sit in science, I'm sat on a table with Azzy, Jess, Chris and PJ, it's great because we never really do any work.
"YAY WE HAVE SCIENCE!" I hear Chris shout at the top of his lungs and does a little dance. Sir turns around and looks at Chris.
"I'm glad to see your enjoying science but you don't need to announce it to the world." Sir glares at Chris.
"I'm sorry sir." Chris put his head down, but not in shame it looks as if he's hiding his laugh but it's not working. I hear Phil laughing behind me which makes me laugh.
"Now head SILENTLY to lessons."
"Okay sir."
I wait until Chris and PJ come over. The finally reach me but they are literally crying and laughing. I'm not crying but laughing a lot too.
We don't say anything to each other all the way to science, we are laughing way too much. I'm now crying because we are laughing too much. It wasn't even that funny.
...........
We take our seats in science still laughing but we have calmed down a bit. Azzy and Jess look at us very confused as to why we are laughing so much.
"Why you guys laughing so much?" Jess asks us.
Chris, PJ and I all look at each other and start laughing hysterically again.
"Basically.. Chris shouted really loud... YAY WE HAVE SCIENCE...and did a little dance...and...and..and sir turned around... and was like I know you are liking science but you don't need to announce it to the world." PJ said in between laughing.
"I wasn't even that funny." I say wiping the tear that escaped my eye, from laughing too much.
"But I just is funny." Chris said
"Okay I'm going to pretend I don't know you guys." Azzy said sarcastically.
"You don't mean that." Chris said looking at Azzy with big eyes. He got up and walked behind Azzy and hugged her and kissed her neck.
"You love me really." Chris squeezes Azzy tighter.
"Of course I love you." Azzy turns and faces Chris. He then plants a kiss on her lips. Awww they are such a cute couple. I wish me and Claudia could be like them. Wait don't think that, she's only broken up with Joe today. I can't think like that.
"Hello class! Can everyone sit in their seats please, including the two love birds at the back!"
Miss says looking at Chris and Azzy. They break their kiss, They both look at each other. Chris then comes back and takes his seat next to PJ and I.

"Peeejjjjj?" Jess looks over at PJ.
"Yesssss?"
"Can I borrow a pen?"
"Of course my darling Jess, but what happened to the pen I got you with our names on it?" PJ says handing her a pen.
"I use it at home because I don't want to loose it, if I did I'd cry because I love it so much."
"It's fine I was just wondering where it was." PJ and Jess smiled at each other. These two were a sweet couple too.
"OH Yeah! Guys my mother said you can all come round my house Friday afternoon and stay the night!"
"That sounds really cool. Who's going?" Jess says looking at Azzy
"I was thinking just you, Chris, PJ, Dan, Phil, Frank, Georgia, holly and Baby Clouj."
Baby Clouj is Claudia's nickname that Azzy gave her, it's sounds so adorable. Stop she's only been single for just over an hour. Leave her be.
"Can you guys come?" Azzy looked at all of us.
"Most definitely." Chris says
"What time?"
My mother might not be back until 6.00 on Friday, I hope it's starts later than that.
"About Nine in the afternoon."
Phew.
"Okay cool I will ask when I get back."
"Yeah me too." Chris and PJ say in unison.
It will be great if i can go. That mean I can actually spend time with my friends away from school. And maybe get to know Claudia better. Mind please shut up.
"NOOOO AZZY!! THIS IS THE DAY WHERE WE ARE ALL SPLIT UP FOR LUNCH." Jess shouted at Azzy while she grabbed her and shook her. Azzy's face turns sad and she looks at Jess.
"NOOOO I hate when they split us up into different lunches."
Azzy says back to Jess.
This is the day once a fortnight where some of us are on different lunches. Only Jess, PJ, Claudia and I are on lunch 2, where as Azzy, Chris, Georgia, Holly, Dan and Phil are on lunch 1. I don't like it because we aren't all together. The only good thing about it is that it's easier to save chairs in the dining hall, so no one sits in them.

"It's lunch time now be back by quarter too please!" Our technology teacher shouts at us. The word lunch sounds tasty when you're hungry. But the question is did I remember to pack my lunch. Yes I did I remember packing it clearly now.
I look over towards the door I was heading to Jess, PJ and Claudia waiting for me. I see Jess say something to Claudia, then she grabs PJ's hand and they run off out the room.
"Where did they run off too?" I ask Claudia, when I finally reach her.
"Because we have been let out for lunch a little early they ran off to the canteen to get some Food. And we are going to meet them there." She gave me a smile.
She soooooo cute. Shut up! I just feel this urge to hug Claudia and never let go. She's such a cheery and crazy person.
"Shall we go?" Claudia says waving her hand In front of my face.
"Yeah sorry lost in thought." I say shaking my head.
"Haha, what were you thinking about?"
Crap what do I say? Umm...
"Nothing much, just stuff."
"Oh okay."
We start heading off down the same corridor we were walking down this morning where I was holding her hand.
Wait what am I doing? I find myself reaching for Claudia's hand and I hold it. Claudia glanced up at me and smiled. She then leant her head on my shoulder. I didn't expect this reaction from her. I wish I could capture this moment right now.
"Claudiaaaaaa!"
I hear someone shout from behind us. We turn around to see a tall blonde haired girl with a tall boy next to her with brownish blonde hair.
"Oh my god hi, haven't seen you guys in a while. Where have you been?" Claudia asks the two people.
"Basically Dave took me on holiday with him to somewhere in Germany. But our flights kept getting cancelled to get back to England so we were stuck in Germany for ages but it was fun because we stayed in a 5 start hotel for the whole time." This girl was very smiley and looked very kind. She looks at me for a second and looks back at Claudia.
"Who's you friend?" She ask Claudia looking at me with a smile.
"Oh yeah, this is Frank Gioia. He arrived at this school they day you guys left."
"Oh really. Hi Frank I'm Anna and this is my boyfriend Dave."
Anna smiled at me, and Dave gave a little wave along with a smile. These guys looked really nice.
"Sorry guys we best get going to see Mrs Cave." Dave said putting his arm around Anna.
"Oh yeah, bye guys. I was nice to meet you Frank. See you around." Anna and Dave head off in the other direction with their hands tangled with each other's.
"They seemed nice." I glance at Claudia.
"Yeah you wouldn't expect it from the most popular people in the school. They've been a couple since year 7 and never have came close to breaking up."
"Awww that's so sweet."
"Yeah."
"I've never had a girlfriend or someone to call mine."
Wait what! Why did I say that. What a stupid thing to say.
"Not even at your old school?"
"No. My entire school time was getting bullied or beaten up by obnoxious bitches." I suddenly remember all the horrible moments that I had at my old school. I clench my eyes together hoping that I don't have a flashback. The flash backs are the most scary things I put up with, these always end up with me having a panic attack which is the worst part. Sometimes I even pass out during one. I feel myself breathing less and my heart getting faster. No please I can't have a panic attack in front of Claudia she'd think I'm a crazy. I feel dizzy and I start to slow down. I see Claudia turn to look at me with worry in her eyes. I think she says something to me but I can't hear her. But it's too late the panic takes over my body here comes the flashback.
Flashback:
Why won't my locker open? I pound my fist against it but it's no use I can't seem to make it budge. Maybe this is not my key. It's definitely mine, as I check it twice. I stick it back in again. Yes! it's open. I swing open the door and all my books fall out. Great. I lean down to pick them up. 1..2...3...4 yep that's all of them. I get back up and slide the books in to the locker. Wait i need my phone. My mother for my birthday got me a phone, with my name specially in graved on the back, I love it so much. I reach in the the back of my locker and pull out my phone. No new messages. I click on to the home screen and start scrolling when suddenly i feel it slide out the top of my hands. I look up to see that Alex was standing right I front of me. Alex is one of the many girls who bullied me.
"Great phone, shame it's going to break."
"DON'T!"
"Oh yeah I will."
She clenched the phone in her hands as I try to grab it its not use. My mothers going to be so angry at me if the phone breaks. But I can't tell her that the girls are bullying me because they will hurt me.
"Please don't." I begged.
She throws the phone against the wall. I see it shatter just like ice. I watch as the light and colour died from the home screen.
Tears well up in the side of my eyes and stream down my face. I loved that phone it was a special gif from my mother.
Suddenly I feel a full blown punch to my stomach. I fall to the ground clenching my stomach. I cover my head as she starts kicking my sides really hard. I feel the pain rip through my body.
"Tell anyone about this and I WILL hurt you more!"
Because of the amount of pain I was in I couldn't reply. I nod slightly even though it hurts so much.
"GOOD!"
I hear the sound of her laughing and walking off until I couldn't hear her anymore.
Flashback over. Back to Reality:
Suddenly I come out my flashback. I'm now sitting down in an empty classroom. Shaking violently, still feel like I'm not breathing, my heart feels like it's about to explode from pounding so much. I glance to my left and see Claudia who looks really worried. Why did I have to have a flashback and a panic attack in front of her.
"Frank are you okay?" She puts her hand on my shoulder.
I open my mouth to talk but I ant seem too. So I just shake my head.
"I'm....s.orry." That was all I could say.
"You don't need to be sorry for anything." She gives me another kind smile. I manage to return one.
"You had a flashback and a panic attack didn't you?"
"Ye..ah."
"Don't worry I know how you feel I get them to. You don't need to think about the old times your with us now."
She gets them too? I'm not the only one. It makes me feel a bit better that I'm not the only person who gets them. Why does she get hers?
"Thank you." I say to her.
"For what?"
"Looking after me while I was in a state."
"It's no problem, if it was me I would like some to be there for me."
I open my mouth to speak but the sudden sound of the classroom door opening stops me. We look over to the door quickly. A small female teacher walks in and turns to see us in the corner of the room.
"Um, excuse me you two, your not allowed in the classrooms during lunch are you."
"No, I'm sorry miss we'll go now." Claudia says quickly back to the small teacher stood at the front of the classroom. I say small teacher, but nearly everyone is taller than Claudia, even most of the younger years. But she doesn't care about her size.
I grab my bag off the floor and swing it on to my back, stand up and push my chair in. I'm still shaking a little but not much. I'm so happy that Claudia stayed with me. Some people wouldn't have. I wait for Claudia to pick up her bag up so we can leave to go to the canteen to have lunch. She swings her bag onto her shoulders and she gives me a friendly smile.
"Sorry miss."
"Yeah sorry miss."
Claudia and I say as we exit the classroom together. I Close the door carefully behind us, so we don't disturb that teacher again.
"Phew that was lucky, most teacher give detentions if you are caught in a classroom during lunch when your not supposed to be." Claudia says.
"Yeah, I swear I've never seen that teacher before." I don't think I've ever seen that teacher before. This is miss Lang's room for her chess club.
"She is one of the new teachers."
This explains why I've not seen this teacher.
"One? How many new teachers arrived this week? So where is miss Lang's chess club now?"
"Her chess club is still going to be in there because I went to I last night. 3 more new teachers have arrived. That teacher, a new science teacher and the new music teacher to replace Brendon Urie."
Claudia hates chess. Why has she joined chess club?
"Since when have you liked chess? And why did Brendon Urie leave?"
Claudia chuckles to her self.
"Well the chess club is a long story. Just put it as I lied to get out of trouble which ended with me in chess club."
"Oh my goodness, only you Claudia. What about Brendon Urie why did he leave?"
"Didn't you hear?"
"No what?"
"He's actually the same age as us. He quit school and came here and became a teacher without the teacher finding out he's only in year 10. But he quit the job because the teacher got suspicious. It's a shame he was a great teacher. He joined the other school in this area, but not as a teacher but as a student. But you can't tell anyone"
"Don't worry I won't." I promise
"Thanks. Only our friendship group know though."
"So wait how did you find out about it?"
"Georgia met up with him the other evening and he told her."
Claudia explains.
"Georgia and Brendon get on well don't they."
"Yeah."
We reach the canteen. I love the smell of the canteen food when i walk in. I look around to see if I can see Jess and PJ. Then I see them sitting at a small table in the corner.
"There they are." I say to Claudia and point towards them. We begin to head towards them, I stop Claudia I her path quickly.
"Please can you not mention about... You know the panic.."
"Of course, I won't don't worry." Claudia gives me a reassuring smile. Could actually just hug her right now. But I won't because we are in the middle of the canteen and that will be very awkward. I make my way with Claudia over too where Jess and PJ are.
I take a seat next to PJ and Claudia sits next to Jess.
"Hey guys, where have you been?" Jess says as we sat down.
"Um..." I begin to say.
"I had to go and find miss Lang and ask if chess club is in the same room." Claudia says quickly.
"You do chess club?" PJ asks Claudia.
Claudia and Jess look at each other and start laughing.
"Yes." She says mid laugh.
"Why?"
"She lied to get out of trouble and ended up in chess club." Jess says laughing.
........
PJ, Jess, Claudia and I are hanging out under the green canopy where we normally hang out. We are all just talking when PJ takes a small box out of his pocket. He walks over towards Jess.
"Jess I love you ever so much. I've been meaning to give this to you all day." He opens the small box to revile a ring.
"It's a promise ring." PJ says.
Jess looks at PJ she smiles and starts to tear up.
"Oh my goodness PJ... It's so beautiful." A single tear runs down her face.
"I love it so much thank you!" Jess jumps on PJ and swings her legs around PJ and gives him a kiss. Awww they are a very sweet couple.
"Umm guys we are late for class." Claudia says.
"Oh no we are going to be so told off. We better get going." I say.
