Chapter 8: Goodbye

West's POV
I'm gonna take James advice, and I'm gonna call Chloe to see if she wants to get together. I text Chloe Do you want to go to Hidalgos? She replied Yes, how about Monday at 7:15am? I said Great. She said Great.

Monday morning, Chloe and I met in Hidalgos for breakfast. We chat.

"Chloe, I've know you for a really long time, and I love everything about you. Your pretty face, your kindness. Everything. So I was wondering, Will you be my girlfriend?" I asked.

"Yes," Chloe said.

After our meet up, I text James I got the girl! He replied Good for you bro! Watch for drama coming your way though. I replied lol, Chloe's not dramatic. He replied True.

Chris' POV
My phone rings.

"Hello?" I answer.

"Hi, Chris?" The person on the other line asked.

"Yes," I said.

"It's Kate. I'm just calling to let you know we would love to have you back at The Next Step," I said.

"Sounds great," I said.

We arranged to get together so I could start working at TNS again.

Kate's POV
I'm happy that Chris is coming back. I like working with him.

A Troupe is happy that Chris is teaching here now. He adds something to the school, since he's the only male teacher. I can do some hip hop, but not very much, so it's great to have him here for that too. Emma knocks on the doorframe of my office.

"You don't have to knock. Just come in," I said to Emma.

"I have something to say. I've been offered a job at a ballet school in Nova Scotia. Ballet is really my passion, and it's my style of dance. I was wondering if it would be okay with you if I left The Next Step to pursue my ballet teacher dream. And please don't get me wrong, I love The Next Step, but the studio I've been offered a job that is ballet focused, and I feel like I do better with ballet," Emma said.

"You don't have to ask me to leave. I'm very sad to see you go Emma, but good luck. I know you will be amazing in Nova Scotia. I can tell the dancers if you want," I said.

"Please do. Let them know that it has nothing to do with them or The Next Step in general. I'm doing this for me and for me only," Emma said.

"I will," I said as Emma left.

As I watched Emma leave, I thought about how I've wanted so many people come in and out of that door. Young dancers, just waiting to start the long journey of a dancer. Dancers that have been here since the age of 2 or 3, and have aching muscles, but still come every day. People who ignored me and people who love me. I've watched people I hate come in and out, and people I love. Sometimes I can't believe The Next Step is still standing. We've gone through so much, and here we are, still fighting. Today, I watch A Troupe walk into Studio A, and I snap back to reality. I exit my office.

"I have an announcement. Emma was offered a teaching position at a studio that fits her style better, and therefore she will no longer be working her at The Next Step. Get warmed up and I will be back to start rehearsals in 5," I said.

Cierra's POV
I'm really surprised that Emma left us. I honestly didn't think she'd do that, but I hope she gets off happily at her next studio.
