Chapter 9:Christmas

Kate's POV
As the dancer rehearse their dance for Regionals, Parker walks in. I smile at her before turning my attention back to the dancers. When they finished, I walked over to Parker.

"Hi," I said.

"Hi. The dance looks great," she said.

"Lost and Found Music Studios is having a Christmas celebration tomorrow, and we would like to invite The Next Step's A Troupe dancers . You can each bring a friend if you wish. You're invited too, Kate, Phoebe and Chris," she said.

The dancers and I thanked her before returning to dance(and her to music).

The next day, we all went to the Christmas celebration. Parker's sons were there, so I got to see them.

"Okay, everyone. We have a song and dance number for y'all. This is Rachel, Leia myself and James performing Shake Santa Shake with the A Troupe Girls dancing," Luke said.

The kids did really well.

"Your kids can really sing," I said to Parker.

"Thanks. Yours can really dance," she said.

"Thanks," I said.

"When's Regionals?" Parker asked.

"Too soon for my liking," I said.

"I remember your first Regionals. You were so excited all I heard about was Regionals for a month beforehand," Parker said.

"Yeah, sorry about that. I remember your first big gig. I was there," I said.

"I remember that," Parker said.

If I wasn't friends with Parker, I don't know what I'd do. Probably go more insane than I ~

Phoebe and I are running A Troupe rehearsals when the door opens. I look up. Lucien.

"Enough nonsense already. Cierra, come back to Elite," Lucien said.

"No,"Cierra said.

"Excuse me?" Lucien said.

"I said no. I love it here at The Next Step. They treat us like people here, not robots like you," Cierra.

"Fine, your loss. But be prepared to pay for that," Lucien said.

Phoebe's POV
The next thing Lucien did was something I'll never forget. He took out a gun a shot Kate multiple times. Then he ran away. Giselle called 911. Kate was unconious. The ambulance took Kate away. I let A Troupe go, before going to the hospital. I was given Kate's hospital room number, but then told that she was getting surgery done so I couldn't see her. I sat down and called Parker.

"Hello?" Parker answered.

"Parker, it's Phoebe. Kate was shot by Lucien. She's in the hospital now, and I'm in the waiting room. I don't know what to do Parker," I said.

"I'll be there as soon as I can. Hang tight," Parker said.

"I'll try," I said.

Not too long after that, Parker showed up.

"Are you okay?" She asked me.

"My sister's life in on the line here," I said.

"Right, dumb question. Is there anything you want me to do?" Parker asked,

"No. You being here makes it easier though," I said.

I texted A Troupe.

Me-Kate's not doing well. She's still unconious. All I know is that she's in surgery

Riley-Do you want us to come?

Me- I think I'm fine. Parker is here

Giselle-Are you sure?

Me-Yes

Michelle-Praying that Kate gets better

Me-Thanks. I'll keep you guys updated

*3 hours later*

A Troupe Text Convo
Me-Kate is out of surgery but now in a coma. Not sure when or if she'll wake up😬

Thalia-My prayers are with you and her

Me-Thanks Thalia

Cierra came around the corner.

"Hello" I said.

"Hi Phoebe. Look, I'm sorry," Cierra said.

"For what?" I asked.

"Hurting Kate," Cierra said.

"You didn't hurt her, Lucien did," I said.

"I know, but Lucien told me to come with him. I said no, and he said I was going to pay. This is his way of making me pay. I'm sorry that I'm making the studio pay. I really didn't want to with him. He's never been nice to his students, and I know he hasn't changed," I said.

Cierra's POV
Phoebe gave me a hug, and I for once didn't mind it.

" It wasn't your fault. He could have chosen to not hurt her, but he did," Phoebe said.

"Merry Christmas Phoebe. I hope Kate gets better," I said.

"Merry Christmas Cierra," Phoebe said.

I left the hospital.
