"Can I go with you?"

"No, I already told you. Don't ask me again." I told my little sister, Clara. I would usually say yes because I love having her around but today I just wanted to go alone.

"Fine." She huffs out, defeated.

I hate that she makes me feel guilty for not wanting her to come with me. I love her to death but she can be a handful sometimes.

As I begin to undress and put on a new wardrobe, I stop to look at her. She has this mischievous grin on her face. She's up to something.

"Does Mom and Dad know you're going out?" She asks, slyly.

Oh, no. She is not really pulling this shit on me. I'm nineteen years old I shouldn't need to have to ask to go out but in this household, that is not the case. With my parents you always have to ask before going out and if they'd grant you the permission, you'd have to be back at a certain time.

I looked over at her, confused. Why would she do this right now?

"You wouldn't." I say.

She smiles, wider than before. "Bet?" She asks.

I close my eyes and take a slow breath, trying to stay calm. "Fine." I say. This time I'm the one that is defeated.

"Yay!" She yells out excitedly. She looks at me, up and down. She kind of looks, I don't know, disgusted?

"Are you really going to wear that?" She asks.

I look down at what I'm wearing. It's casual, a black Metallica t-shirt, and denim skinny jeans, with the bottoms rolled up and of course, black Vans hi-tops. It's a freaking party not a fancy dinner or anything, why is she tripping?

"Dude, relax. You swear." I say rolling my eyes.

Clara has always been a little fashionista, always carefully picking out her outfits and never, ever, leaving the house without perfectly doing her hair and make-up. I don't blame her though, she rocks everything.

"Alright, so are you ready? I ask her, quietly opening the bedroom door.

"Yeah." She whispers walking towards me. "Wait!" She whisper shouts.

"What?!" I ask her, getting annoyed, I want to leave already.

"Is he gonna be there?" She asks with a smile on her face.

As soon as she asks my heart begins to beat faster.

"I hope so." I say smiling.
