NatsuXReader: i'll protect you (AU)

problems

it was finals week. you and your friends formed study groups all week. Being confident help the fact that it was worse then before, now balls of paper with threats were thrown at you during class and even texts you received were hate full 

and what didn't help was that your dad was abusive. your mom died in a fire when you were only four years. from then on you life has been a living hell and you tried making the best of it which you did until high school came along.

sometimes after school you would get bullied or more like beaten up and you would end walking home with a bloody nose or a black eye, but home wasn't any different your dad would yell at you and throw things at you. 

by the time you got to your room where it was safe  you would have cuts on your hands and cheeks. tears ran down your face until your phone buzz.  you were hesitant about picking about think it would be another threat but the light showed something different. Natsu's name flashed on your scree, wiping the tears that stained your cheeks you picked up your phone.

when you opened it, your text message screen came on and Natsu's message blinked. you clicked on it and it opened it up to say

i saw what those bitched were doing in English this morning. i just wanted to make sure you were okay.

and you replied back

yeah, im fine but i gotta study for my other classes. see you tomorrow

turning off your phone, you placed it on your night stand and the pressure that began to build finally spilled the tears and once again you were crying. the tears stained your pillow and you stayed like that until you fell into the pleasure of sleep.

a loud ringing sound went of and you tried to ignore it but you couldn't resist anymore. opening your eyes you saw the distant glow of the sun rising up and the ringing got louder as your hear came in. it took a moment that it was your alarm and that you should probably turn it off afraid that your father would get pissed about the noise.

once you turned off your alarm you got dressed and had breakfast. after about five to ten minutes you grabbed your bag and headed towards the door. it takes about a half hour to get to school by walking so you usually you left before seven thirty maybe seven twenty at the earliest

as you rounded the corner you felt the presence of other people walking uncomfortably close to yo. keeping your head low you speed up your pace, but you felt hands on your shoulders and before you knew it you were being thrown into a ally. opening your eyes you saw who it was. the two girls from before. the brown haired who's name you believed was Amber and her friend Rachel with dirty blond hair stood over you.

"h-hey, just leave me alone p-please" you said while you grabbed your books and attempted to stand up 

but you only felt a hand push you back but this time with more force then before. looking up with tears threatening to spill you saw the two girls smiling with satisfaction

" we warned you about what would happen if you messed with Natsu" Amber said kicking you in the side

you coughed longing for air, you heard a small laugh as full blown kicks hit your side. after a while you coughed and this time you spat some blood from your mouth. a splitting headache began to spread across your forehead. you vision starting to blacken and more blood filled your mouth, but just as you slipped into blackness you saw something familiar. pink hair and a white scarf were heading your direction and you knew instantly who it was.

Natsu was here to save you once more.

what felt hours, you finally woke up and felt something wrapped around you tightly. you looked up to find Natsu. he has a serious face and a bruise, probably from a different fight you thought. letting you a wheezing breath, Natsu's eyes bolted to you. you felt a small heat spread across your face as your gazes looked.

Natsu broke the silence after several seconds.

"are you okay" he asked 

"yeah i-i think so" you said reaching to hold you aching head only to feel a sharp pain in your side. you stiffed a little moan of pain and you felt Natsu's eye's on you once more but this time a hit of concern filled them 

"(y/n) dont move or it will make your wounds worse, please stay still we're almost there"

you gave him a small smile and rested your head back against his chest and watched the landscape pass as he carried you to someplace safe. it was not long before your eye lids felt heavy with tiredness and you gave in leaving only the sound of his heart and soft short breaths.

omfg thank you guys so much. i cant believe there is at least 2.4k for GrayXReader and thank you for all the votes. and finals end tomorrow so ill try and update as soon and as much as i can over break.
