Chapter 3: Now you see me, Now you don't

The next day Nicolei when out to play soccer with his friends, one of his friends kicked the ball too hard and it went into the bushes. When Nicolei went to go and retrieve the ball he noticed that Angela was standing off to the side hidden behind a tree. " Hey, Angela. Why are you here?" Nicolei asked.  " Hello, Nicolei." Angela said, " I was walking through the forest when I saw you and your friends playing, so I stopped to watch." "You're allowed  to walk around alone?" Nicolei said shocked.  "Actually I am running an errand for Mrs. Bayla." Angela explained " Oh, okay." Nicolei said. He turned around to go back to his friends then wondered if Angela would want to play with them. He turned around to ask Angela if she wanted to play, but she was nowhere to be found. Nicolei searched around for a bit for Anglea but couldn't find her. Finally, the calls from his friends drew him back to the game. That night he told his parents about the incident. " She is a very nice girl." Commented his father. " Next time you see her maybe you should invite her over for dinner. I would be nice to get to know her better." Nick's mom said. A few days later Nicolei was at the candy store buying some candy. When he left the store he noticed that Angela was watching him from the other side of the road.  He was about to go over to her but a car passed by.  After it had passed Nicolei looked for  Angela but she had disappeared! It was a week before he saw Angela again. He was walking back from school and saw her coming out of a store. Nicolei walked up to her as she turned around. " Hi, Nicolei!" She said brightly.

" Hi Angela," He said, " Uh Angela, I've noticed that you have been following me lately, and I would like to know why." "Following you?" Angela echoed "Oh ya, it's just you seem to have so much fun with your friends and, well I would kinda enjoy joining in. I don't have any friends other than you." Angela looked at her feet. Nicolei immediately felt sorry for her. Then he remembered what his mother said. "Well, I was just heading home and was wondering if you would like to eat dinner with us." "Really?" Angela brightened at the idea. "Sure, we would love to have you," Nicolei said. So they walked home together. As they were walking they passed the big church in Nicolei's town. A beautiful melody was emerging from the partially open doors. Nicolei stopped at the doors. " What is that noise?" He asked Angela. "It's the church choir." She responded. " They're very good" Nicolei commented. "Yes", Angela replied. Nicolei and Angela sat down on the steps and listened. The song was about a story. A man was supposed to save all the people but was killed later in the story. Nicolei didn't know what to think of this story, so he asked Angela what it meant. "Long ago God's son Jesus was born into the world as a human, he grew up and did many miracles and preached about God until he was crucified and died for our sins, but he didn't stay dead.  Three days later he rose from the dead and ascended to heaven where he lives. Jesus died so we could go to heaven with him and live forever with him. If we accept him into our hearts we will live forever with him in heaven." Angela explained. " So if  I accept God into my heart I can go to heaven?" Nicolei asked. "That's right", she said "When you pray to God he forgives you of your sins and you can start again.  "Angela, will you help me ask God to forgive me?" Nick asked, " Of course." She agreed. So Nicolei asked God into his heart and then they walked home.
