I awake to a panic. I see everyone at the treehouse. In fact, I'm in the tree house. But when I look down, I see nothing. I see Zoey rush past me with Laurance by her side. Kenmur and Emmalyn are running to the ladder and crash into each other. I laugh, but I hear no sound. 'Am I a ghost? Invisible to everyone?' I answer my own question by floating out of the tree house and towards the docks. I can see my body lying peacefully, with Convela curled around me, her wing acting like a blanket. I smile, and lie back down to my body.

"Ugh. My head."

'Morning. You have everyone in quite the panic, Aphmau. Care to explain why you were sleeping on the docks?'

'The last thing I remember was listening to a song from the brightest star.' Convela seems to take the answer in stride.

'Could you sing it?'

'Sure.'

Was it just the other day we were playing along

to a wild song that you sang to me.

Was it just the other day we would run and fall,

no care at all.

Now you lie here.

How did I go so wrong?

Now you lie here.

Will you hear my song?

Was it just this past year that you gave up on

my simple song.

Was it just this past year I couldn't move on,

I could still hear your song.

Now I run far.

Will I see you there?

Now I run far.

Will I meet my fear?

Was it just my first year

when you came along.

Was it just my first year

when you were already gone.

Now I draw close.

Will we meet again?

Now I draw close.

Will you sing my song?

Will you sing my song?

Was it just yesterday

when I came home.

Was it just yesterday

when I moved on.

Now my tears they flow.

Will I never stop?

Now my tears they flow.

Will I come undone?

Was it just a second chance before I went on,

to sing our song.

Was it just a second chance before I went on,

for soo long.

For soo long.

I hadn't noticed the silence, nor did I see Laurance, Dante, Zoey, Levin, Malachi and the rest sneak up on me and Convela. I felt invincible as I stood up. I looked behind me to see the wings I had only just learned I had fluttering behind my back. They released the floodgate on my memories. The last thing I heard before everything went black was, 'Aphmau, Aphmau!! I finally found you, sister!!!'

(A/N) Heyo! So, all the songs that you see in my stories I wrote myself. I hope you like them! -Convela
