'The darkness needs to stand out once in a while, so the stars can shine their brightest.' ~A Good Friend of Mine
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
I again wake in a cold sweat, but this seems more from exertion than fear. I felt safe. I felt...Scales?
"Convela?"
'Ah, so you finally awaken. I was wondering if the transition between the realms without a portal would take a toll on you.'
"What do you mean, 'transition without a portal'?
'I think Zoey once scolded you about it, yes? Obviously being a dragon, my hide is nearly impenetrable, whether it be weapon or magiks. My father was a full blooded dragon, but he had the magiks of shifting. I am half human, half dragon. And so, being your cousin, I entered The End, and I transcended with you under my wings. Wasn't as hard as one would think.'
"Oh. Okay." And that's when reality crashed down with the force of a hundred Convela's.
"I-I just realized that my brother is the one that's causing all this trouble. Probably has been all along for the past millennium!"
'Hey, hey. Quiet down a little, would you? I'm trying to not alert the entire village that we're back yet.'
"Sorry."
'I understand, you didn't really have the best childhood.' And with that, the conversation ended. We were on the old plaza, and Convela was just curled around me. I guess we had been spotted, because soon Levin, Malachi, Zoey, Laurance, Emmalyn, Kenmur, Dante, and Katelyn. I didn't see the rest, so I assumed that they were back at the stronghold. If only I knew how wrong I was at the time.Heyo! I decided to update during lunch so I would have a little leeway on the next chapter. Anyway, I hope you all like it! Byee! ~Convela
