Well, this was awkward. Convela was standing in the middle of the room in blue jeans, black combat boots, a black jacket, and a silver t-shirt. She still had her silvery-red eyes, but now they were more human. Her blonde hair was brushing just past her shoulders, and a gun holster was acting as her belt. I was surprised that I could recognize it, as it was a foreign object until now.
"Wow, stunned speechless? That's a first for you, Aphmau. Don't look at me like that." Her voice was the same. She looked at me with those eyes too old on her 20 year old body.
"Well, excuse me if this isn't a shock. How long have you been hiding this from us?"
"Umm, about since I came back."
"Oh."
The silence became unbearable. That was until Laurance came rushing up the ladder.
"Aphmau, I brought you some... Who are you?" Oh Laurance. You always come in at the most inopportune times. Convela and I burst out laughing at Laurnace's stunned expression. We completely forgot about everyone else in the room. I haven't laughed like this since...
~FLASHBACK~
"Come on, Convela!! We're going to be late!"
"Hahaha! But where's the fun in arriving early?" Convela's hair streamed behind her as she ran past my 6 year old form. We past all the market stalls and zoomed into the castle. We giggled as we slowed down, approaching the throne room. The doors opened and my father's voice rang out...
