We got to the suit shop first. I was waiting outside the car. I could not wait to see the boys in suits. The thought of it made me laugh. I was leaning against the car door, the heat radiatiating off it from the sun. I hear the bell from the open door and turned my head. There were my boys all dressed up.
They both were wearing Black Tie with a black suit. They looked very official.
"Look at my boys all grown up." I say and pretend to cry. They both roll their eyes at me.
"Man, I look like one of the Blues Brothers." Dean groans. I just start to laugh. They both looked so funny to me, but maybe it was just because I knew them.
"No, you don't. You look more like a...seventh-grader at his first dance." Sam says. I burst into laughter at that point. They both looked like Kids trying on daddy's suit that just fit.
"I hate this thing." Dean says as he looks at himself. They head to the car.
"Hey. You want into that warehouse or not?" Sam points out. Dean groans and gets in the car. I get in and I am still laughing.
"Shut it Kat, you got wear crap like this too." Dean points out. I instantly shut up. I don't do the dress up thing. Never have, never will. Not my thing. We pull up to a small formal wear place. Dean comes in with me while Sam does more research in the car. We open the door and we get smacked my a sea of perfume. I wanted to gag. I turn around to head for the door, but Dean stops me.
"Oh no, you got to get your stuff. You made fun of me, know it is your turn." Dean says as he pushes me into the store. I wander looking at all the stuff. Some how I ended up in the dress section. I feel the fabric of the first Dress I see, thinking of the night everything slowly went down hill.
"Kat! Let's go!" Dean yelled from downstairs. I look at myself in the mirror. I was worried how I looked. This was my first time going to a thing like this. Sam convinced me to go to Prom some how. I was wearing a long tight black strapless dress, with dark red velvet fabric on the inside. The dress had a slit up the side, exposing my calfs and my Black heels. My hair was straight, letting it fall on one side of my face. My make up was dark. Dark red lipstick, painting my lips. Black eyeliner surrounded my eyes, thin lines, making my blue icy eyes pop. Around me neck was the necklace Dean gave me. It was a celtic trinity sign. I stared at myself, not believing what was there.
"Kat, come on- damn Kat." Sam said as he looked at me.
"Do I look good?" I ask. Sam shakes his head and smiles.
"You look amazing, come on. We are going to be late." I smile and walk down the creaky stairs in Bobby's house. I get to the bottom and there is Bobby and Dean. Bobby is staring at me, his mouth open in surprise. Dean has his back turned to me. He turns around and his annoyed face softens into surprise.
"What do you think?" I ask as I gesture to my look.
"Damn Kat, you look amazing." Dean says with a smile. Both the boys are wearing small suits that Bobby were able to get us.
"Get together now, I wanna take a photo." Bobby says. I stand next to my brothers and take a picture. I actually felt beautiful, for once in my life. I wasn't a hunter, I wasn't covered in blood or sleep deprived from training or research, Tonight I was Katarina Winchester. The 17 year old girl going to her Prom to enjoy being normal.
"Alright beautiful, lets get you to Prom." Dean grins. We get into the Impala and head to the school. Sam went in first, Dean walked me in. Everyone was gawking over me, staring at me. I didn't no if it was a complement or not. The Boys went off to dance with some girls. I stood bopping to the music, with a spiked drink in my hands.
"Look who it is." I turn my head to see the Queen Bee of the school, Ashley Martins. "Who knew you could actually look decent for once." She smirked with her groupies giggling.
"Who knew you actually could wear clothes." I shot at her. She was wearing a long tight dress with a ruffled bottom. It was a pale pink and had straps that fell from her shoulders, letting her blonde hair cover most of her shoulders.
"Listen weirdo, You should leave, no one wants you here."
"I don't really care." I sip my drink. She grabs my arm and my reflexes kick in. I grab her arm and twist it behind her back. I then yank it up, hearing a pop from her shoulder. I then put my knee to her face. She falls and I stand back realizing what I did. Everyone stood in shock. Ashely was on the ground crying in pain, blood flowing from her nose, staining her dress. I step back, watching everyone's face fill with fear. I ran out of the school, tossing my heels so I could really run. I heard my brothers call after me, but I couldn't see them. I didn't want to hurt them.
Ever since that day, I realized something. I was a hunter, I was going to be covered in someone's blood, I was a monster and was raised to be one. Dean helped me recover, as well as Sam. Then Sam left and everything came tumbling down. Dad was ashamed of me when that happened. Bobby tried defending me, but they got into an argument and it ended with Bobby pointing a gun at dad telling him to leave.
Someone touch my arm, breaking my trance and I flinched. It was Dean.
"What are you doing over here?" He asked.
"To be honest, no clue."
"Come on, Sammy is waiting on us." I nod and go back with him, shaking the memory from my body
