We open a room at the end of the hallway. It is filled with device that they would use against the patients to help them become "normal". In reality, it screwed them up even more. This is why I never liked hospitals and have been ever so grateful not be have to go to one. I have watched one two many movies that end badly with a hospital, especially Asylums.
"Man. Electro-shock. Lobotomies. They did some twisted stuff to these people. Kinda like my man Jack in Cuckoo's Nest." Dean comments. He looks at Sam making some weird face but Sam ignores it. I walk over to a chair with straps attached. I brush my fingers against it and I feel the electricity run in my body. It burned inside.
"KAT!" I hear Sam yell. I feel two arms around me as I fall. My body would not stop pulsating. When It did I was able to breathe and see. Sam was holding me and Dean was next to him, their face covered in shock.
"I'm okay, lets just get this over with." I say as I stand up. Was I actually okay? No clue, but I had to keep going, people's lives were at stake. The boys knew better than to argue with me.
"So. Whaddaya think? Ghosts possessing people?" Dean suggests.
"Maybe. Or maybe it's more like Amityville, or the Smurl hunting."
"Sounds like The Shinning." I chuckle and Dean does the same. Sam rolls his eyes.
"Guys." We look at Sam. "When are we going to talk about it?"
"About What?" I ask, confused.
"About the fact Dad's not here." Sam says, I turn away.
"Oh. I see. How 'bout...never." Dean says as he looks trough all the crap.
"I'm being serious, man. He sent us here..." Sam, please drop it.
"So am I, Sam. Look, he sent us here, he obviously wants us here. We'll pick up the search later." Dean snapped. And here comes the argument.
"It doesn't matter what he wants." Sam snapped back.
"See. That attitude? Right there? That is why I always get the extra cookie." Dean sassed.
"No I always get the cookie cause I am the cutest." I joke, hoping to stop the argument. However, it ends in jack.
"Dad could be in trouble, we should be looking for him. We deserve some answers, Dean. I mean, this is our family we're talking about."
"I understand that, Sam, but he's given us an order." Dean growled.
"So what, we gotta always follow Dad's orders?" Sam snapped.
"Of course we do." Dean yelled.
"STOP IT!" I yell, both of them look at me. "Enough, we are working a case. We put our issues aside and finish it. We can't let other things cloud our heads." I say. It was what Dad always told me when I was on a hunt where one of them weren't around 24/7.
"Sanford Ellicott'...You know what we gotta do. We gotta find out more about the south wing. See if something happened here." Dean says as he reads the sign. He hands it to Sam and leaves. Sam does the same. I step to leave but something grabs my arm. I turn to see a demented figure.
"LOOK WHAT THEY DID! LOOK WHAT THEY DID!" It screamed. It ran at me then disappeared. I look around, and it is gone.
"Kat, lets go!" Dean yells. I look around the room one more time before leaving.
=======================
Me and Dean were sitting in the car while Sam was taking to the shrink. It was a while but that is how long a session is.
"HE is taking forever." Dean groans.
"Dude, the sessions are one hour each." I tell him.
"Yeah, how do you know that?" He sassed. He was not in a good mood.
"Cause I do, now stop getting your panties in a twist." I snap. Silence falls once more.
"Kat, what happened back there?" Dean asks.
"What do you mean?"
"You just started seizing out of now where." I stare at my lap.
"Oh...that."
"Yeah, now can you talk to me?" I look at him and their are those apple greens looking at me with concern.
"How about I cut you a deal?" I say with a smirk.
"what kind of deal?" He asks with his eyebrow raised.
"You let me read the journal, I will tell you what happened." I say with a grin.
"Nope." He shakes his head.
"Dee, come on! Why won't you let me read it! I am 21 years old! I am not a damn child!"
"You will always be a kid to me, plus there is stuff in their you can't read." He says, not looking at me the whole time.
"Like what?" I snap.
"Stuff I promised Dad, now drop it Kat."
"No, tell me Dean."
"Katarina Drop it!" He yelled. I rolled my eyes and leaned into the seat. This is what killed our family. The secrets, the lies, the not trusting each other. This is why we were divided and broken. This is why we are alone.
