Tyler

When a person would come though the door and the little bell would ring, my heart stopped every time. I'd look up hoping he was standing there, but it was usually a person just coming for a coffee or meeting with their friends.

I had ordered Troye a drink expecting it to cool off a bit so when he got here, it was ready but now cold coffee had sat at the spot he was suppose to have.

My feet dance nervously under the table as I sat waiting for him. Every couple of seconds my eyes were flying back to the clock, checking the time. I usually thought I was a pretty patient person but in this situation, I was the complete opposite.

I was running on less than an hour of sleep and that made my mind worry a lot more than it needed too. I couldn't handle not being in the loop, but I figured he could set me straight as soon as he got here. If he gets here I mean. Troye was an hour and 18 minutes late. And that shouldn't bother me to much considering I've waited such a long time to see him, but I was just skeptical.

Since Troye sent me away last night, saying that I needed to leave before "he"got there, My anxiety has been skyrocketing.  I wondered what would have happened if this guy saw me. And I wondered why he was meeting Troye.

An arrange of thoughts went through my head all consisting of Troyes safety. That's all I have ever wanted since the moment he left my life years ago. And I wouldn't know he was safe unless he was with me.

The door opened once again and my head shot up. Standing in the doorway, was the boy that made my heart pound faster than anyone else ever could. I didn't know if it was because he was truly breathtaking or if it was because I was never going to get used to seeing his face again. He wasn't dead like people feared, He was alive. And I always knew it.

He looked around for a moment before smiling softly when he saw me. It was barely there only rising slightly in the corner.

I stood up when he made his way over to the table.

" I'm sorry I'm late," Troye paused. I saw him swallow before continuing. "I got caught up."

" It's okay. I'm glad you came." He sat down and I returned to my seat. He thanked me for the coffee and I smiled feeling a bit bad that it was cold.

His fingers met with his neck. " I guess I have things to explain to you." He pulled his turtle neck up a bit, then set his hand over mine. I felt a warm feeling in my stomach at his words and  instantly intertwined our fingers, not wanting to ever let go. He was right in front of me for the first time in forever, but somehow he still felt so far.

" What happened to you."

That question has ran through my head for so many years and it felt relieving to finally say it. Even though I really wasn't expecting it to come out of my mouth.

He glanced out the window, avoiding my stare. Once again his fingers met with his neck and he took a deep breath.

" I remember saying goodbye to you. It's the one thing I look back on through these years. My form of happiness in this hell-

" It was so fast. Like one minute I was laughing with my family and the next I was screaming in the trunk of the car."

My breath caught in my throat.
