Prompt: Josh is your best friend, and has been for almost 3 years. For some reason you have developed a crush on the red head, but he has a girlfriend.
A/N Josh's girlfriend will be called Ashley. Yes, I am aware Halsey's real name is Ashley, I did it on purpose.

After parking your car, you pick up your phone to send Josh a text.
'Hey bro I'm coming in are you home?'
You sit in the car to finish 'Lying is the Most Fun a Girl can Have Without Taking Her Clothes Off' while waiting for an answer.
'Yep I'm upstairs with Ashley. You still have a key? Just walk in.'
You sigh at the answer and send him a 'yep' before picking up the key he gave you and heading up to the apartment he lived in.
Ashley wasn't a bad person, unless you were involved. For some reason she just hated you. Did you do something? No. Did she think Josh might like you? He absolutely does not. You sighed again as the elevator door opened for you to step in.
It was an empty elevator. With it being 2 o'clock in the afternoon on a Wednesday, everyone must be busy with something.
When you got to the door with a lonely alien by the nob, you laughed and opened the door.
"Josh?" You called through the place. It was a mess. Dishes were piled everywhere, along with the random crap of the idiot living here.
"Hey (Y/N). I missed you!" Josh came out of a room smiling as he said the words and hugged you.
You used to see Josh daily, but since the band had really started to grow, it seemed more important that he talk to Ashley than you. It kind of bummed you out, but she is his girlfriend.
Ashley came out of the same room with the biggest brightest smile.
"Oh," he smile quickly went away when she saw you, "you didn't say it was (Y/N)"
Josh's ink less arm wrapped around her small shoulders.
You'll never be as small as Ashley.
"Are you hungry, babe?" He kissed her somehow beautiful temple.
You'll never be as beautiful as Ashley.
"Of course you are, I am." You and Ashley both laughed but she quickly stopped and looked at you with a look that said, He is my fucking boyfriend.
"(Y/N) make the grilled cheese you do!! Please!!"
Now here you are, an hour later sitting with Josh and Halsey at his table talking about noting useful.
"Hey Josh, (Y/N) has something just ridiculous to tell you!"

"It's about her....love life"

"Oh! Did you land yourself a date?"
You stuttered out a nervous lagged and said 'no' a few times.
"Well funny story. You see, the guy I like has a girlfriend. And she is an absolute jerk to me. But I deal with it, because he seems happier with her than I could be with him."
"You've got that right." Ashley whispered and put her head on his shoulder.
"Oh. Well he should ask her to st- wait" He looked over at Ashley and grinned.
"You meant for this to happen you clever ass"
