17 year old Tyler smiled to himself before setting his phone on the desk in his room and getting off the bed. Tyler and Josh have been dating for about a year, and tonight they were coming out to their families.
Tyler is a bit nervous, but josh probably is too. Both of their families are Christian but neither of them know how they feel about gays. Hopefully it doesn't go too bad!
"Tyler! Come here please." Tyler's mom shouted from downstairs.
He put his phone in the sweatshirt pocket and walked to the kitchen where his mom was.
"Set the table please," she turned around to look at him then added, "and you could dress a little nicer."
He laughed and picked up the silverware and napkins then went to the table.
After the table was set Tyler walked to the living room where his brother was watching family guy.
They both started laughing at some ridiculous joke when the door bell rang.
Tyler jumped up to answer it but his mom was there first opening the door and greeting each of them.
Josh and Tyler saw each other and started walking to Tyler's room.
"Boys you could hang out with us a little?" Josh's mom called as they walked up the steps.
"After dinner." Josh waved his hand back and they continued up stairs and into the dark room.
Tyler closed the door when they were both in and turned on the light.
"Dude I'm so scared." Josh sat on the unmade bed.
"Me too." Tyler sat next to him and put his head on his shoulder.
"I'm sure it'll be fine." Tyler lifted his head so his chin was resting on his shoulder and he could see Josh looking away.
Josh looked so good. His pink hair was barely combed giving it a messy look and his eyes had a little shine to them. 
"You're so cute." Tyler gave Josh a small kiss on the cheek. Josh blushed a little and looked at his boyfriend.
"Oh come on." Josh pulled Tyler into a full on kiss, which turned into a make out session. This happened a lot.
By the end of the 5 minutes Tyler was sitting straddled on Josh lap, that is something that never happened.
"Dinner!!" Tyler's dad called as the boys laughed into each others chest.
"That was amazing." Tyler laughed some more and rested on Josh for a minute.
"Agreed" Josh did the same.

Right before everyone was done eating, Josh grabbed Tyler's hand from under the wood table.
"Hey. Mom. Wait a second." Tyler called for his mom to sit back down from washing her plate.
"Yeah?" Everyone was looking at Tyler. Tyler's insides started to explode into a thousand pieces and his throat tightened.
Josh looked at his almost crying boyfriend and spoke instead.
"we are dating." The boys looked and each other until Tyler's mom spoke again.
"thats okay! my boy is finally in a relationship!"
"as long as you love each other its fine!" joshs dad said.
The rest of the night went on with watching a movie and the boys cuddling up loving each other.
"that was amazing." tyler whispered to josh who was holding him.
Josh laughed and said "agreed" just like before.
