Found Light in the Shadow (Solangelo)

Chapter Fifteen

I woke up from what must have been the soundest sleep that I've ever had in my life.  My husband was spooned behind me with his arm wrapped tight around my stomach.  I wasn't sure what time it was, but it was still dark outside.  Actually, I wasn't even sure exactly how long that I had been sleeping.  The last thing that I remembered was the four of us coming out of the shadows, then everything went black.  I was getting the impression though that I had been out for quite a while.  It was dark when we got back and I doubted that I had only slept for a few hours.  So, it had to have at least been for a day if not longer.

Will had to have been worried sick about me the whole time.  I was thinking about waking him up to let him know that I was alright, but he needed to get his rest too.  It was definitely nice to wake up in his arms though.  Having his strong arm around me and his warmth always made me feel better.  My sunshine swore that he would take care of me and he always kept true to his word.  I decided that it would be best if I tried to go back to sleep for a while and hopefully wake back up when my lover was awake.

When I started to wake up again, I could feel Will's big hand gently rubbing my stomach.  As I slowly opened my eyes, I could see the morning light coming in through the windows.  I just wanted to lay there and enjoy the touch a while longer, but I wanted to let Will know that I was awake.

"Morning sunshine."

Will tightened his grip around me, pulling me closer into him and kissed the back of my head.  "Morning darkness.  I'm so glad that you finally woke up."

"How long was I out for?"

"Oh, a little over a day.  You were starting to worry me for a while there.  I know how much you like your beauty sleep, but you have never slept this long."

"That last jump took a lot more out of me than I thought it would.  Honestly, if it wasn't for you and Reyna, I'm not sure if we would have made it."

"Well babe, how about we get you cleaned up and get some food in you?  I cleaned you up as best as I could, but it was kind of hard washing you in the tub while you were sleeping.  Needless to say, you stink."

I rolled over and gave my lover a long overdue morning kiss, each of us hugging the other.  Will got out of bed first, then he helped me get out of bed.  When he helped me stand up, I could definitely tell exactly how weak that I was.  Will stood behind me and wrapped his arms around me under my arm pits.  Slowly, he walked me over to the bathroom.  I turned the water on before he helped me get into the stall.  My baby helped support me as both of us scrubbed me down.  I didn't really want to get out of the nice warm bed, but the hot shower was way better.  Part way through the shower, I was starting get a lot steadier on my feet.  I think Will's healing touch had something to do with it though.  After washing me off, I leaned against the shower wall while Will washed himself.  The sight of Will's wet and soapy body was having its usual effect on me, but I was way too weak yet for any kind of play.

After getting out and drying off, Will helped me put on a pair of sweatpants and a hoodie.  Will just threw on a pair of basketball shorts like he usually does.  He led me out to the living room and got me situated on the couch with a blanket covering me up.  I turned on the t.v. and found something to watch while Will went to the kitchen and started making us breakfast.

During our breakfast, Will filled me in on what I had missed during my slumber.  Not a whole lot really happened, I was just glad that all of us were doing alright.  After we ate, I laid with Will on the couch for the rest of the morning.  It felt good being able to relax with my lover holding me in his arms.   Will wasn't really interested in watching t.v., he was content just being with me.  He must have been really bored while I was sleeping.
