The Wolf Companion.

Chapter 14

       I stand up ever so slowly. A quick growl the I'm thrown to the ground landing on my back, pain shoots up through my body. A pair of pearly white teeth trying to tear my face apart layed a few inches in front of my face.
     "Back off!" My heart was racing
The wolf glares at me while snarling. I stare in to its eyes. They gleamed blood red. What to hell is this?! The wolf widens it eyes and sends a pulsing red wave through my third eye chakra. Pain shoots throughout my entire body, it felt like I was being stabbed all over.
     "LINXS!!!!"
      Linxs rams the giant wolf off me. I quickly grab my gun and aim it at the now bunched up wolves standing in front of me and Linxs. Oh my god, their eyes! Each wolf had different colored eyes. Red, Orange, Yellow,  Green, Blue. Violet. Six wolves, but how odd. It didn't look like there was a alpha male. A sudden howl pierces the chamber, it sends more pain throughout my body I feel tears emitting out of my eyes. I drop to my knees then look up to see a dark black wolf with piercing silver eyes that gleamed from the shining moon peering in through a opening in the chamber. Son of a bitch. Linxs now cowering down, she looked to be in massive pain as well.
       The six other wolves now howling as the alpha takes over my mind. His piecing silver eyes stabbing into my third eye chakra.
   A dark yet peaceful voice fills my mind. "Put the gun down, now." The wolf was somehow communicating with me.
     "No you bastard! You'll kill me!" Linxs now fighting against the pain stands up in front of me, guarding me. The alpha replys with a bark.
Silence fills the chamber.  Six pairs of eyes gleaming towards linxs and I. A loud rumbling waterfall seems soothing.
      Linxs lets loose a bark. The Alpha then jumps off the rock and slowly walks our way. No, no, no, no, no! Linxs what did you do?
Linxs starts growling.
       The wolf gets real close to my face. I sat there frozen as the wolf peered it's silver eyes holding me in place.
They're going to tear me to shreds. I tried to move but I was stuck in place, the alpha must have some hold over me.
      A sudden fear washes over me as the wolf takes in a deep whiff right next to my face. Oh god, I'm on the dinner table for sure. The wolf licks my face and a chill creeps down my spine. The wolf starts to snarl. Oh god this is how it's going to end. The pain was increasing and there was a loud ringing in my ears.
      The wolf sat down and stared me down, his sudden vibe changing. I feel his grip let go. Thank god. "Shag."
The wolf says, speaking to me in some sort of pshycic way.
    "How do you know my name? Where are we? And what the hell is going in?" I wipe away the tears that were falling down my face. Only they weren't tears, it was blood seeping from my eyes.
The wolf waits a minute then sends another signal.
     "For this is the testing grounds for those worthy enough to hold the power of El Dorado. You shag are the chosen one for this is your destiny. What else do you think drove your curiosity to find this place? You hold the key to the worlds survival."
      Stunned, I look into the wolfs silver eyes so amazingly shaped. So majestic.
I then think to myself. But why would there be wolves in South America? This makes no damn sense whatsoever, and what's with this chosen one mumbo jumbo?
     "Silence."
The wolf speaks.
Oh god, can he hear my thought?
The wolf stares deeper into my eyes as he responds. He was reading my spirit.
     "You will be put through many different trials, each trial shall represent a part of you and a power you will obtain with such skills relating to the seven chakras. Only the chosen ones can maintain the power. You are the one to have been chosen, for now your burdens are lifted and peace shall once again fill your heart, but then the trials come. For each wolf in the pack there shall be a trial with each wolf in this pack. Once you have completed the trials, you shall be granted the power of El Dorado."
     I keep trying to wrap my mind around what the wolf was telling me.
     "I have spoken to much for now I must go. We leave you with this."
The white haired red eyed wolf sends another pulse and I'm filled with self rootedness. I feel things begin to crawl in my eyes. Oh god.
     "AGHHH!!!" The pain hits me as I get a glowing sensation in my eyes. Linxs looks me in the eyes and she is horrified. She whimpers with fear as this pulse takes over me. I feel some power rush through my veins, they begin to flow as the pulse surges through my veins making them glow as well.
     "FUCK!"
The pain is unbearable, I feel the alpha male send another pulse into my third eye. "Don't give into the pain, don't let the power control you. You control it."
The glowing begins to subside and I'm left feeling empty. Then, this weird pulse of energy hits the base of my spine and for a moment I feel perfect harmony, and that everything is just dandy. The chamber fills with silence an I can feel the sounds of the water fall, I can feel it's energy moving. I can feel the grass and the trees, they're breathing. Like they've been suddenly brought to life.
     I suddenly shoot awake hearing the waterfall rumble. Linxs was asleep next to me. When did I fall asleep?" Something feels different inside me, I feel power. What the hell is this.
I look into the pool of water behind me to see my reflection. I almost have a heart attack when I notice that my iris's  have changed color. They were fire red.
They were radiating a still faint red glow like preditor eyes. I notice that they didn't change just color, the pupil had changed to slits. Oh god, no wonder Linxs was cowering down. What... Happened to me?
       I stare in horror to see what has happened to me. A surge of power then takes over me and the waterfall begins to open up revealing a tunnel. What the hell?
    I feel a pulse surge my third eye as I hear the alphas voice.
      "Your first trial shall begin now, once you complete this trial. You will be sent back to the beginning chamber where we stand now." The wolf pack howls in the distance, they were no where to be seen. Silence once again fills the chamber.
      "Here Linxs, it's okay it's still me girl. Don't be scared." She sniffs my hand then gets excited and starts jumping around, she then licks my face.  "See silly girl, it's still me. Just some things are different. Now let's not stall and see what this trial brings us, maybe it will help us find Trip and Bucko. I really hope they are okay especially Bucko... He's new to this adventure thing. I really hope they're both okay. The sudden thought of the both of them hurt of killed crosses my mind. Linxs must have noticed because she let out a few whimpers and nudged my hand.
     "Thanks Linxs. I'll swim across first, then you follow and I'll help you out of the water."
      She lets out a bark like she knew exactly what I was saying. Strange.
I proceed to do a swan dive into the water and start heading towards the tunnel behind the waterfall. I pull myself up on the opening of the tunnel,   Linxs closely behind. I then help her out of the water and onto the ground. She shakes water and it gets all over me.
     "Damnit all, now I'm going to smell like wet dog." I look at Linxs and smile.
"Alright let's go."
We start walking down the tunnel.
The tunnel was extremely dark, but for some reason I was able to see. We keep walking and we are greeted by what looked like crystals, almost as perfect as a mirror. The walls, the ceiling and the floor is covered with this rock. I can see how gruesome I looked, red glowing eyes, blood tattered clothing. Blood streaked out of my eyes and down my face. That explains why my body aches. This was the first time seeing myself after everything that happened. I looked horrifying. As I'm looking looking into the reflective surface I see a shadowing figure standing behind me in the surface and before I knew it I was slammed down to the ground with a knife up to my throat.
