Two days later...

CHRISTO'S POV

Every class I went to, every song I listened to and every programme I saw reminded me of Alexia. And Evie.

At first, I tried to ignore her but she was in two of my classes; History and Chemistry so I soon came to realise that plan would never work. Espacially since I couldn't stop staring at her every second.

In the back of my head, I heard my teacher groan on about the 1920's economical boom/crash and how it effected the confidence of speculators and the public. The bell's shrill noise cut me off from my thoughts. The class let out a collective sigh as they began shifting to their next classes. I cleared my throat, stuffed my pens into my bag then bolted from my chair to the door. Yet, the noise I was hoping to avoid found its way to me;

"Christos!"

I let my classmates flood out the classroom but slowly, I turned around to see Evie standing opposite me.

I took a step to her but kept my head bent so as not to get lost in those eyes. Alexia's eyes.

"Christos?" Her voice was small but she looked up at me expectantly.

"Yeah...?" I mumbled.

"Are you OK?" She asked in a clipped tone.

"Why?" I stared at a blank sopt on the floor.

"You're acting too 'Twilight'-like." She said seriously.

I looked up in surprise and let myself laugh at her remark. What a mistake that was. I looked into her eyes. Those blue eyes.

All the colours around her faded so the only thing I could see were her light blue eyes boring into me. They were so similar to Alexia's, my voice caught in my throat and my heart thudded inside me.

Suddenly, there she was standing in front of me. Alexia, with her shining blond hair and dazzling smile. She looked up at me with her blue eyes. The same ones I love so much. The same ones I strive to see once more. The same ones which haunt me at night.

"Christos?" Her voice was small and innocent-just the way it was. Just the way it was the last time I heard it.

With that, her screams filled my head. Her shrieking pleads of help. Her outstretched hand covered in blood.

Suddenly, I was beside her; her head in my lap, her hands clenching onto mine. I screamed into the air for help but there was no response. I remembered the tears flowing down my cheeks and hearing my voice screaming at Alexia to stay awake.

"Christos..."

With my name still on her lips; her head left my lap, her hands left mine and she left me.

"Christos?" Her voice was different; deeper...less afraid.

Something latched onto my hand and pulled me forward. That's when I realized it had been eleven years since then. And, standing in front of me was Alexia...no, Evie.

EVIE'S POV

Standing before me, he spaced out completely. He stared into my eyes with full concentration. I called his name and his lips moved but no sound escaped. Then, he let out a small whimper.

That's when I grabbed his hand and tugged him slightly. He stepped out of his daze and looked at me again.

"Alexia." He whispered. "Don't go."

I frowned at him; "Christos?"

He cleared his throat; "Oh, sorry." He mumbled before attempting to run off again.

"Stop!" I called after him.

Christos stopped and looked down at me.

"What's going on?"

"Nothing." He shrugged.

"Don't lie." I said simply.

He was obviously caught off guard but he did not stop speaking; "You don't want to know."

Before I could respond, he sprinted out the classroom.

The rest of the day went by smoothly-because of the one friend I had made that week; Rose-the Snow White look-a-like. She was the kindest and sweetest person I had ever met-but that made her more un-likable. Everyone thought she was a godess-perfection epitmosied-so much so, jealousy dominated over admiration-espacially among the girls. Her fair skin contrasting with her dark brown hair and rosy cheeks made you love her but her kindness was the thing that made her not so much liked. She was cursed for being too perfect.

"What's up with that guy Christos?" I asked her as we clambered onto the iconicly bright yellow school bus.

"Christos? What about him?" Rose flopped down onto a pair of empty seats and tapped one beside her for me to join her.

"He acts really weird when he talks to me." I said quietly.

"What, so he likes you?" She gushed.

"No!" I exclamined. I could be clueless at times but I was pretty sure he doesn't like me; "It's not like that. Just tell me what you know."

She nodded as the bus jerked into motion; "Well, he's the popular type. You'll never see him without his best-friend, Oliver. They live opposite eachother and even their Mum's were friends when they were pregnant with Christos and Oliver."

"I didn't think he is a jock." I mused.

"No, he isn't-he's such a great guy. But, there's something dark about him-deep down. Maybe it's something to do with Alexia."

"Alexia?" I asked, a frown on my face.

"Yeah, you haven't heard of her? Well, she was best-friends with Christos and Oliver since they were born. When they were five, they had this Lemonade Stand outside their houses they were obsessed with."

I smiled; "That's really cute."

"Yeah, and it was also their downfall. They were there one morning, when they were five and something awful happend." Rose's eyes were filled with sadness.

"What?" I whispered.

"They were playing with this ball or something and it rolled onto the road. Alexia ran to get it but a car came and hit her. It didn't even stop-the person just left her on the ground. Anyway, Oliver ran for help but Christos stayed with Alexia. She died in Christos' arms before the Police and Ambulance even came."

I stared at her, my heart throbbing at the thought of that happening to mere five-year olds. Christos must have been crushed.

I gasped as I remembered Christos called me 'Alexia' earlier today. How could he think I am her?

"What did she look like?" I asked quietly, still moved by their tragic story.

"Apparently, she had long blonde hair and the prettiest blue eyes-light blue." She leaned forward and squinted into my eyes; "Kind of like your eyes, actually. That's weird." She shrugged and sat back.

I sat shocked in my seat.
