The two of you had been fighting for two hours, not knowing what the main cause of the argument was. He was just yelling at you, and you were yelling back. It was really frustrating. The two of you just had to fight before going to your friends' birthday party. This was going to be a disaster.

However you and Luke tried to play it cool and make it seem like the two of you were okay or at least that's what you were hoping to happen but no, it was the opposite. Throughout the party he ignored you and gave you the cold shoulders. No one really noticed it since they're busy having fun. There is one person who noticed though, your best friend. Of course she'll notice, how can she not? "Hey is everything okay between you and Luke?" She asked.

"Oh yeah everything is just perfect!" You smiled.

"Come on Y/N you know I won't buy that, now tell me what happened."Sighing in defeat you ended up telling her what happened even though you, yourself don't understand why the two of you were fighting the in first place.

It was as if the two of you were have PMS or something. Not wanting to worry about that, you enjoyed the party with your best friend. Dancing on the dance floor, singing along to the lyrics and having a few drinks. Once the party was over your best friend asked if Luke is still here. "Do you really think I'll know where he is? For all I care he probably left the party a long time ago."

"Want me to drop you home?"

"It's okay, I just want to be left alone for a couple of minutes. I'll just take the cab home."

Waving your friend goodbye, you cursed to yourself for not bringing a jacket."Out of all damn days it just had to be tonight." You mumbled to yourself.

Luke noticed that you were getting cold and he sighed to himself, walking over towards you. He took off his jacket and put it over your trembling shoulders. You looked up to him but he was waving for a cab to come. Finally a cab stopped in front of you and you went inside. Luke followed behind and told the driver the address.

The atmosphere in the cab was very awkward, but you didn't want to talk to it'll just make it worst. You didn't want to fight with Luke in the car. You looked out the window when you felt something warm holding your hand. You looked down and saw Luke's hand. A smiled formed from your lips but you tried to hide it, at least Luke wasn't looking your way or else he would've seen the dumb look on your face right now. Luke kept quiet because just like you, he didn't want to speak and start a fight in the car.

You rubbed your thumb over as a way of thanking him and a way to tell him that everything will be okay.
