Meeting your three year boyfriend's past lover did not threaten me at all. It was one of those days when Jasper and I were going window shopping when he stopped walking. I followed his gaze and saw him looking at the lady looking for a dress sa loob ng isang botique.
"What's wrong Jas?" I asked.
"Dito ka lang Klarissa, wait lang." then he removed his hand on mine. I haven't said yes, but he left already. Walking towards that girl. Who's she anyway?
Sinundan ko si Jasper, pero di ako pumasok sa loob. I just waited for him outside. The two of them were talking like they've known each other so well. May pahampas hampas at kurot kurot pa itong babae. I shouldn't feel jealous, but I just can't help it.
After a while, lumabas na din sila. Jasper came to me right after.
"Hi!" masiglang bati ng babaeng kausap niya. She seems kinda nice. She has blonde hair na bumabagay sa maputi niyang balat.
"Hello, I'm Klarissa." lahad ko ng kamay.
She gladly accept it, but I didn't expect to hear the words that came right after. "I'm Claire, Jasper's ex-girlfriend."
Binabawi ko na! Di na siya nice. She's bitchy. What's her purpose for telling me that? To threaten me? Nah.
"I'm his fianceé." I said, which wiped off that bitchy smile of hers. Jasper snaked his arms on my waist and smiled.
Nagpaalam na kami kay Claire dahil may plano kaming manood ng sine ni Jas. Mukhang ayaw niya pa kaming umalis, or should I say, she doesn't want my boyfriend to leave yet.
"Ex, huh?" panunuya ko sa kaniya while were on our way to the cinecomplex here at Gateway.
"Selos ka naman baby?"
"Hindi ah!"
"Sus. You look cute when you're jealous and possesive. Engage na pala ako? I wasn't informed."
Inirapan ko na lang siya at pumasok na kami sa loob. Good thing na mukhang wala na siyang feelings for that bitchy ex of his, named Claire. So I have nothing to worry about.
We watched Lucy, since Jasper and I are both a fan of Scarlet. Nasa scene kami kung saan, kinakausap niya iyong professor about sa capacity ng brain. It was all science and stuff, pero nagegets ko siya.
"Ang hot niya." I hear my boyfriend say and then grab some popcorn.
Hinayaan ko na, we're both thinking the same anyways.
The movie ended and I was still mind blown by the ending. Akala ko pa naman magkakatuluyan sila nung French cop!
Holding hands while walking ang peg namin ni Jas habang palabas ng mall. We talked about the movie, we both despise science pero kita mo ngayon, we're brainstorming, rather arguing sa part na 10% lang ng brain ang nagagamit ng isang tao.
"Hindi nga babe, sabi sa facebook, 100%! Even some sites, ganon din!" sabi ko.
"Tss. The movie said it itself babe, why won't you just believe it?"
"Kasi nga, it's not true."
Sumimangot na ko. Hindi na ulit siya nagsalita and nagdrive na lang. Pauwi na kami sa unit niya. Yes, we're living together. Turns out, ayaw niya akong malayo sa kanya dahil sa dami ng nagkakagusto sa akin. And I feel the same too, so I agreed. At first, it was kinda hard dahil di ako sanay. I mean, may sarili akong unit and nasanay akong doon naliligo, nagigising. Pero katagalan, his unit feels more like home than mine. Maybe because he's here.
