ABBEY'S POV

"You coming?" I said to my friend Lilly.

It's seven in the morning and we're on our way to high school. Ever since ninth grade, we've been walking to school, and now we're in twelfth, our final year until we go off to college.

Lily's very outgoing. She has bright blue eyes and brown hair that goes a little mid back, and she's about five inches taller than me. She's head of the cheerleading squad, and she also plays tennis, which sorta surprises me that we're best friends. Growing up (I've known her since I was in third grade) she's always been the popular, funnier, and better one of us two, but we always came in a package.

When we got there, we walked in and went where we normally sit, with all of her friends, which sadly sucks for me.

I like a boy, or well I'm in love with a boy named Hayes who sadly is taken to a girl named Victoria Mers. Victoria is also head of the cheerleaders and she's a bitch. She hates me because she suspects that I like her boyfriend, which I do. Ever since I was in tenth grade I've liked Hayes, and she's liked him since the begging of the year and it's now April.

"Hey babe," Victoria said loudly.

She looked at Hayes, me, then back to Hayes, and kissed him. God it hurts badly sometimes, but I try to ignore it.

"Hi Victoria. Abbey wait up!" I heard him say as I began to walk away.

I looked at Hayes and saw him running towards me, and then saw the mad look on her face.

"Good morning Abbey," he said with his goofy smile.

          "Good morning, Hayes."

"What are you doing after school?"

"Uh, I don't think anything. How come?"

"I was thinking we could do that project together," he said, and I nodded.

He quickly gave me a hug goodbye and went back in with Victoria, and I went to the bathroom. I texted my mom I wouldn't be home at the same time. If I don't tell her, she'll freak out. There was a door open and I heard Victoria's voice.
