"Well," Nancy shouted pausing before continuing, "Hurry up and let's get down to business," she whined like a pathetic four year old, slamming her cup against the round coffee table, "before we call get bored."

I watched Stella set up the camera on the edge of Nancy's pool table. She carefully adjusted it, propping it up to encompass everyone. She over it, making sure everything was working. Everyone gulped as they witnessed the red light turn on.

Light's, Camera, Spill.

So this is how it all starts, I thought to myself as  my throat seemed to grow tighter.

The coffee table was what divided our two groups. Nancy's entertainment room was rather large but we sat close enough to dive at each other's throats if required. Two sofas sat on either side of the table, which, was littered with cups and half empty coolers. Holly, Dee and Jordan all sat on the sofa leaving Stella, Sandra Zack and I to sit on the floor by their feet.

"Smell," Jordan laughed as she propped both her feet up on my shoulders. She wiggled her toes trying to touch my noise with them.

"Stop it, Jordan," I groaned attempting to roll my shoulders to remove the ten piggies from my face but she was insistent on keeping them there.

My back was pressed uncomfortably against the bottom section of the couch, Jordan ensured I stayed where I was with her heels dug into my shoulders. Stella returned heading to sit beside Sandra. Everyone shifted pressing closer to each other. I heard Zack groan as he was forced to sit shoulder to shoulder against me. Rolling my eyes I tried to ignore his ignorance.

Across from us I watched as everyone avoided eye contact with each other. Carter and Adam sat on top of the couch, casually chatting without a look of fear in their eyes. The three Nancy wanna-bees sat on the couch as Mimi and Nancy sat on the floor. Nancy reached across the table, grabbing a cooler and popping the top.

With all the players of the game sitting at the ready, I expected someone to speak but instead all of us looked at each other. Could it be possible that all of us were waiting for the others to surrender? None of us really wanted to go through with this. Collectively we all wanted it destroyed but no one was willing to give on either side.

Stella and Nancy were having a stare down so intense that it was terrifying to watch. Both there postures were ridged. Their blue icy stares harsh enough to make me feel paralyzed.

"Truth or dare," Nancy challenged.

I gulped. My hands were shaking and she wasn't even speaking to me. They trembled. In an attempt to hide my fear I shoved them under my thighs. My heart was in my throat, my stomach was on the floor and my head... I was no idea where that was.

"Dare of course," Stella didn't seem to share the same concern as I did. Although I admired how fierce Stella could be it was also stupid to come here with no plan. Even though our relationship is very new and brief, Stella wasn't stupid. She had no fear in her eyes and that was for a reason.
