Kat's eyes open ten times their normal size "OH. MY. GOSH."
I laugh and add "It's crazy, isn't it? I still can't believe any of that happened."
"I have been trying to get you to talk to a guy like him for SO long, and now THIS happens!" Her smile is plastered on her face, "I am just that great of a matchmaker!"
"Oh please! Last time you tried to pair me up with a guy; it was Kevin Metts." Her face crunches up at the sound of his name.
"That creep should have worn a sign warning people how much of a crazy creep he was!" She smirked adding "that's a lot of creep for one person."
"Yeah well, you're not the one that went on a date or to that festival with him."
She smirked again "But you have to admit that you looked fine in that dead bride costume he made for you. I mean he had some mad sewing skills." Then she added sarcastically "He was a keeper, I still can't believe you let him getaway."
By now my disgust was very present on my face "You could have taken him at any time. I was just lucky he moved before the Halloween dance! I mean he gave me a black stray painted rose every Friday so I wouldn't forget him over the weekend."
"Who could forget him?" She snorted "Plus remember when... "
"No!" I glared at her. "Don't even say it out aloud. Maybe if I forget it happened then it never did and he never existed."
"So.... what you're saying is that you never hold hands..." I wriggled at the thought of his grubby hands in mine. "And you never hugged him..."
"Okay, okay but that was all him. And he basically grabbed me before I could run away."
"And you also forgot to run away when he...." She paused
I gave her the death glare and said in a sour voice "That ever even happened Kat."
She giggled "But it almost did!"
"Like I would do that with him" I cringed at the thought of kissing Kevin.
She rolled her eyes at me "You could have just broken up with him in the first place. That would have solved everything"
I rolled my eyes "Like I could have done that! I mean I didn't even know we were all boyfriend and girlfriend stuff till we got to school and he dragged me over to his friend's ad introduced me as his...okay here is what he said and I quote.."
"..My Friends, my comrades I would like to present to you- Dawn like the sun, beautiful and radiant. My lady, my soul mate, my lover, and my so-called girlfriend in this society... She has been accepted into our world by the dragon master evening late the day before this one. (Some creepy guy Kevin had introduced me to at the festival the night before who talked to Kevin in the 'sacred language' - he had explained but after about five minutes I figured out it was just pig Latin) So it is my honor to present to you, the one and only Princess Dawn who will one day become my queen when I take the throne and honor you my children by ruling the Dagonians."
Then I fake bowed mocking what the group of seven kids who had done the same for me after Kevin's little "speech"
Kat clapped and smirked at me teasingly "Have you been practicing? Your Kevin accent is spot on."
"Thank you but I do have to admit some of that was truly flattering." I added when Kat gave me an 'are you crazy look' "Well I mean he called me beautiful, and radiant. Plus he thought I would make a great queen!"
"Hey now don't let that get to your head! Either way, you have to admit it was creepy"
"True but at least he didn't add anything about throne heirs..." I shivered completely disgusted by the thought.
