"DAWN PACKAGE" I heard from my room which I had locked myself for the past few hours.  I jumped up and ran down the stairs.  All the boy's stuff was spread across the living room; blankets, clothes, and mostly food... everywhere.  But I just ran past everything, including the large figures passed out on the couch, even it is at least two in the afternoon.  But with all that noise they were making last night, I wouldn't expect them up for a few more days.

I see my brother holding my amazon package in the kitchen with a knife in his hand opening the edges. I make a war cry causing my brother to jump, making Dan next to him freak out due to the knife in his friend's hand.

"What the hell Dawn?" My brother yells as I grab the package off the table where it fell.  I laugh an evil laugh and smile before jogging back out of the room.  As I go through the living room I see that I woke some very confused teenage boy up. My heart goes faster and I sprint up the stairs before some cranky teenage boy hurts me.

Slamming the room and locking it, I rip open the practically opened box thanks to my brother.  I see two shiny objects and pull them out and smell them.

The sweet smell of new books.  Goodbye world.

I walk down the stairs sniffling and holding a book tight to my chest.  The blanket around my shoulders trails behind me.

Stupid human needs made me stop reading.

As I walk into the living room, they all stop and stare at me, earning each his own death glare. Boys are so stupid! Why couldn't Jace just see how much Kelly loved him! I felt my heart break just like it had when I read how Jace was gone, but sadly my hunger wasn't.

"What happened to you?" "Woah..."  "Were you crying?" "What's wrong?" Their disgusted looks hinted at how bad I must look, just as I was about to explain when my wonderful brother added to the questions.

"What crawled up your ass and died?" Giving me his signature disgusted face, looking me up and down.  I snorted in a very unladylike way and flipped him off before walking into the kitchen.

Mumbling started in the other room as I grabbed a water bottle and a bag of chips. I was just about to leave and get back to my book when someone blocked the door.

"Moovveeee" I whinnied as I unsuccessfully tried to sneak around Jack.

"Woah wait just a minute there!" I looked up at him and gave him an impatient look. "Where have you been? You never came for dinner AND you have been up there for HOURS then come down crying at one in the morning?!  What happened?"

I looked at him shocked and twisted around to the clock to see 1:13 a.m.  Oops... I didn't think I was reading that long.

I gave him a sheepish look, "I didn't know it was that long." I remembered the book in my hand, I HAD TO FIND OUT WHAT HAPPENED TO JACE AND KELLY. I made another break for the door, but two strong arms grabbed me a way to easily. I sighed and looked at Jack with an impatient look.

"You can't go till you tell me why your eyes are so bloodshot and red. Did someone hurt you?"

I was about to answer when my brother so rudely got in my way again, "Hey is that a book?"

I hid the book best I could since Jack was still holding me.  Smart boy, I would have been out of here if he wasn't so warm... I mean if he wasn't holding me from moving.

Zack rolled his eyes, "God Dawn that explains everything! That's what was in the package, wasn't it? How did you get that past mom again?"

I answered after copying his eye roll, "Unlike you, I know how to get things past mom, where you are just Mr. I'm-so-obvious!"
