I circle my thumbs around each other trying to lessen my anger. I stare at all the coffee grounds in front of me and just focus my anger on them solely. It's not even close to fair why I'm in this situation. There are only two people here at the shop at this hour basically only using us for our free wifi. I feel my anger boil towards them too.
This is all my brother's fault. I shouldn't be grounded for something that happened MONTHS ago I huff and sit down behind the corner. I lost track of the last hour in my anger and closed up the now empty shop.
By the time I walked home I was just ready to go to sleep. Yet Kat had other plans for me. After hours of debating with my mom, I finally was able to postpone my grounding for the weekend. Leaving Zack beyond pissed, all to my delight.
I sighed as I sat down onto the grass ignoring the excitedly jumping Kat at my side. The birds were out singing songs and telling tales that I didn't. I laid down, with the warm breeze putting my slowly to sleep, and that's when Kat noticed me.
"DAWN we're going swimming get changed!" I turned to see that all the girls have already changed, I slowly dragged myself off the ground. What happened last night was that Kat decided that since it was going to be so beautiful outside this weekend it was time for a girls camping trip. After a lot of arguing with my mom, I was finally allowed out of the grounding that I didn't even deserve.
The reason that I am now grounded for the next two weeks is that my darling brother thought it was a good time to tell mom how I was the one who broke the window a few months ago. I had held it over Zack's head not to tell because he had snuck out to a party just a few days earlier. My mom knew it had to have been one of us but we had a story planned out about some kid randomly breaking it late at night. Our neighbor is one of the safer places in town and we have our own neighborhood watch so this isn't the most likely thing to happen. But she had no evidence until now just because I eat the last cookie. That's right Zack told my mom about the window just because I ate his cookie.
I walked out of our small tent looking around for the girls. We're at this park that has a river right next to it leading into the ocean a few miles away, once we got here Brandy struck up a conversation with some person in the campsite next to us who told her about some swimming hole down the river. Seeing the girls I wrap my towel around me and chase after them.
We walked farther and farther down the river and about halfway Brandy started to complain about losing cell phone service leaving Kat to drag her the rest of the way to the swimming hole.
Finally, after walking much farther done the river than expected we can to a drop in the river forming a small ten-foot waterfall, the water stayed slow beneath our feet as it fanned off to a wide cascade making a deeper section to the river.
Brandy looked around in confusion, "This isn't the place that the guy was walking about..."
"What do you mean this is amazing!" Angie exclaimed moving to sit on the cliff of the waterfall only to be stopped by a frantic Kat.
"This is not the time to get killed... are you sure he said to go downriver?"
Brandy froze at Kat's comment and gave a sly smile, "Opps...?"
"Who cares?" Angie said turning in a circle, "this place has got to be so much better, and it's totally deep enough to go swimming at the bottom too!"
Kat seemed to come to an agreement with Angie, "We can probably get to the bottom of this side of the waterfall..." Angie ran ahead to the trees that sided the waterfall and slipped down around them all skillfully. She looked back up at a slower Kat then ran right into the water.
