~Jacob's P.O.V.~
Instead of us having classes the first day, we had some kind of orientation. For us freshmen. Each class acually had an orientation.
I didnt really know what the point of it was. But, Keisha and Walter still made us go.
We walked into the auditorium and that thing was full. From corner to corner.
As we walked to some empty seats, I saw something that definitely caught my eye
She was gorgeous. From head to toe.
"Yo, man. Look at her," I said as I pointed to the girl.
Roc looked at the girl.
She was talking to the girl that was sitting next to her.
The girl she was talking to pointed at me and she looked.
She kinda blushed and looked down.
"Looks like she's shy," Roc said.
"I know. But, she wont be when I talk to her."
As I walked over to her, the chancellor got on the mic and said, "Welcome ladies and genlemen. Please take your seats."
I blew my breath as I walked to my seat.
Something always happens when I try to talk to a girl. Why, lawd? Why?
*1 hour later*
As we walked out of the auditorium, I spotted that girl again. She was walking in the opposite direction by herself. I started to walk over to her, but then a guy walked up to her. She looked up at him with fear in her face. The look softened, but fear was still evident.
The guy tried to walk away with her, but she snatched away.
I walked up to them and they stopped arguing.
"Hey. Is there a problem?" I asked with my hands in my pockets.
The girl looked up at me and looked back at the guy.
"No. He was just leaving," she answered.
The guy blew his breath and walked away.
"Thank you," the girl mumbled before she walked off.
"No problem," I responded as I walked behind her.
I walked behind her in silence at first, but then I spoke.
"What's your name?" I asked.
"India."
She looked back at me as we approached building 5.
"Pretty name for a beautiful girl," I said.
She blushed and looked away.
"Uh, I gotta go."
She turned around to walk into the building, and I stopped her.
"Call me sometime."
"I dont even know your name," India responded.
"Its Jacob," I answered as I wrote my number down and handed it to her.
"Well, Jacob, I'll think about it."
"Promise?"
"Goodbye, Mr. Jacob."
And, with that, she turned around and walked into the building.
Yeah, she digs me, I thought.
I laughed to myself as I walked away.
