{Chapter 1}

|Ruby's POV|
I walked down my mansion and into my studies. When I sat down, I heard a knock at the door. "Come in" I spoke. My butler, Dane, was revealed. "A letter from the queen, my lady." He said. I rolled my eyes. "I've been working nonstop for the queen. What does she want this time?" "It's a request, actually." Dane handed me the letter.

"Dear Colligor,
I appreciate the work you've done for me and know you do not have the time to do much more. I only request you to do one more favor for me. I have a loyal guard dog named Ciel Phantomhive. I want you to meet him and get to know him. I sent him a letter of your arrive.

-Queen Victoria"

I gave a sigh. "Dane, prepare a carriage. We're going to the Phantomhive manor!" He bowed and walked off. Ciel Phantomhive huh? Let's see what surprises you may bring.

I arrived at the manor and Dane opened the door and led me out. I was greeted by a boy around my age with blue hair and an eyepatch along with a butler who looks somewhat like Dane. I walked up to them casually and curtsied. The boy and butler bowed. "My name is Ciel Phantomhive, the head of this household. The queen told me of your arrival." The boy said. I smiled a warm but fake smile. "A pleasure to meet you, earl Phantomhive. I am Ruby Colligor, owner of the Colleague Jewelry store." Ciel's butler stood straight up and said, "I am Sebastian Michaelis, head butler of the Phantomhive household, and I shall be escorting you to your room." He offered his hand and I took it. Dane followed. When we reached my room, Sebastian said, "I'll let you settle in and get you when dinner is ready." With that, he left. I gave a sigh. "Dane, explore this mansion and report back to me before dinner time after you've unpacked my things!" I got on the bed to rest after I instructed him.
