{Chapter 25}

|Dane's POV|

I was fighting Ash alongside Sebastian. We were finally able to agree on things and it turns out that our enemy was the same person.

|flashback|

The lady and I were walking through London, well, what's left of it. It was burning. A demon hound was setting London ablaze. I saw the Phantomhive servants with teary eyes while holding weapons pointed at the hound. "Dane!" My lady called. I bowed and morphed into the large, black wolf. The lady climbed on my back and I ran towards the docks. My mistress told me to get her towards the bridge. I took a big leap and leaped there with sheer might. I turned my head and saw Sebastian rowing the Phantomhive lord to where we are. "So, you finally agreed with me." Mistress said. They were silent. I clawed my way up the bridge while my mistress held onto me. I set her down and stared at Ash. "Look at this holy event. The flames are burning down this distastefulness and is bringing anew, isn't that right, demons?" Ash asked. Me and Sebastian glared daggers into him. He laughed maniacally.

|Ruby's POV, end of flashback|

While Sebastian and Dane were fighting Ash, I looked towards Ciel. "Ciel. You are aware that after Sebastian kills Ash, he will take your soul, right?" I asked. He gave a nod. "And, after Dane knows that Ash is killed, I'm going to have my soul taken, right?" Another nod. "I will never see you again." I said, tears welling up in my eyes. "I don't want to leave you." I said, truthfully while hugging him. He patted my back. "Then that is our fate." Sebastian and Dane both plunges their hand into Ash and finishes him off.

Sebastian and Dane rowed me and Ciel towards an island. I looked at him with sorrowful eyes. The trip was silent. Dane and Sebastian took each of us in their hands. We were set on the bench and looked at each other. "Will this hurt?" Ciel asked. "It would. I'll make it as gentle as possible." Sebastian responded. "No, be as wild as you can. I want to etch life into my corpse." Sebastian bowed. "Same goes for you, Dane." I said in my dark voice. He too, bowed. They began the process. I held onto Ciel's hand and he held onto mine. "Ciel." He nodded. "I... love you." I said in my cheery voice. He smiled. "Me too." That was all I heard before darkness enveloped me and I saw our eyelids droop to a close.
