I walked in my six inch heels to the bathroom and sat on the side of the tub. It was over, finally. I had done it. I struck a match to light a candle, and another one to light my cigarette. The light projected silhouettes of him that I wished not to see. The bath water ran slowly, and patiently I waited until it was full. I unbuckled my heels and stripped of my stained lingerie. Stains... there were so many stains... I poured a glass of wine and stepped into the steamy water. The water turned as red as my glass from all the blood. But, it was fine, porcelain can be cleaned, his sins cannot. I was satisfied with my doings. I had not been satisfied in years. A smile began to reveal itself upon my face, and I grabbed my poetry book and began to write:
He said he would not cheat
But yet he did
He did cheat on me
So his throat I slitI didn't understand why he did it, but he did. I sipped my wine and sank further beneath the red water.
