chapter 5 // nice to meet you, calum

Michael's POV //
"Hey, what's the rush?" I ask Emily when I bump into her. She looks at me and I see that she's tearing up. "Wow hey Emily, what's going on?"

She cries "I don't know! My head hurts."

I hug her and pat on her back, I see Calum walking towards us and I shake my head mouthing "No." to him. "Come to my bunk, maybe if you lay down you will feel better." I suggest Emily.

I take her hand and take Emily to my bunk. I see my bed is a whole mess so I empty it by throwing my clothes from my bunk. "Here, lay down."

Emily lays down. "Do you need water or anything? Do you need another blanket?" She doesn't respond and I see that she already fell asleep.

I look at her closely, she's so damn beautiful. I wipe some hair from her face, she got beautiful dark brown hair. Already from the day that I first saw her I knew she was a special one.

Then I remembered what I wanted to do, I covered her with some extra blankets and walk out of the room. I see Calum sitting at the dining table, playing on his phone. "Calum, what the fück man?!" He looks at me confusedly "What?"

"What did you do to Emily this time?"

"I did nothing, what are you talking about?!"

"Then explain why she was crying after talking with you? What's going on with you lately man?"

He keeps playing on his phone, not looking at me "Nothing."

"You have been acting so weird lately and if there is something going on, then you can tell me! But don't take it out on her, she knows you since yesterday and you are already acting like an ass towards her."

"Shut up man."

"I really don't understand you."

Calum becomes so irritated and looks at me "Just because you're my best friend doesn't mean I have to tell you everything!"

"Wow, alright. Ok, I understand."

I walk away, feeling a bit hurt by his words. Calum is my best friend and I tell him everything, apparently he doesn't think that way.

Ashton walks towards me "Hey man, what's going on? why were you and Calum screaming to each other?"

"I don't know Ash, can you please talk to him? Something is up and he doesn't wanna tell me. And he made Emily cry and his behavior drives me crazy."

Ashton looks confusedly at me "He made Emily cry? Wow dude is she ok?"

"Yeah she's sleeping in my bunk."

"Oh, alright..." Ashton wiggles with his eyebrows.

"Shut up."

Ashton giggles "Dude you got like a huge crush on her. I know it."

I laugh "Fück off man, go talk to Calum."

"Alright."

I think Ashton is a good person to talk with Calum. Maybe he will tell Ash what's going on, because Ashton is good in comforting and talking with people. And I'm... not. So I hope it will work out.

Ashtons POV //

"Hey man" I walk towards Calum, who's playing on his phone in the kitchen. 

"Michael told you to talk with me, didn't he?" 

"Yeah man, what's going on?"

"Nothing, why do you think there's something going on?" Calum says, very pissed off.

"Look at how you're acting? You aren't yourself? You know you can tell me."

I sit down on the chair next to him. 

"Ok, well... promise you won't tell anyone?"

"I promise." I answer, very curious about what he's going to tell me.

Flashback Calum POV //

"Calum, wake up, we've arrived!" I hear someone say.

I yawn and open my eyes "What, where?" 

My sister looks at me "In the Netherlands, duh! Let's go, we have to get our luggage."

I see my mom talking to my dad, she's so happy. She loves travelling, especially to countries that she has never been before. 

We get out of the plane and wait for our luggage. 

"Why are all of your luggage so heavy!" I scream, because I had to carry it all. 

My sister laughs at me, sticking her tongue out. "Thanks bro."

"Shut up."

We don't really know the way so we ask some people from the airport where the taxis are.

We hired a camper, that's a bus for camping with a little kitchen and beds. So we go to a place to pick it up. 

After a very long car ride, we arrived at a place called "Texel". There are a lot of other people camping here, it looks fun I guess. I rather be at home though. 

Me and my mom set up the tents, while my sister went to talk with some people and my dad was sleeping because he was very tired after driving for so long.

I see my sister from afar. She's walking towards us, but she's not alone because she's walking hand in hand with someone. When they come closer I see the "someone" is a really cute girl with dark brown hair. Mali-koa waves at me "Hey Cal! Hey mom! I already made a new friend! She's also from Australia. What a coincidence right?" The girl smiles very shyly and sticks her hand out. My mom shakes her hand "Hi! Nice to meet you, I am Joy." 

The girl laughs "Hi, the pleasure is all mine. My name is Emily."

I stick my hand out and we shake hands "Hi, I'm Calum."

"Nice to meet you, Calum."

And that's how it all started..
