Sorry I haven't been updating super fast, but Christmas happened, and I just... Well, yeah. Merry Christmas!... Ok, fine, I'll update faster. Sorry.

About a million different results came up on Google under dragonwhisperers.
I sighed at the long list of possibilities, leaning back into my chair. Slowly, and very carefully I began checking each and every site for hints about the dragonwhisperers. Www.dragons.com was the first on the list, nothing there. Just a whole pile of rubbish information about the different dragon species. How did I know it was false information? I don't know, I just did.
Www.unprovenlegends.com was next up. Again, nothing that I wanted.
The next ten websites still proved useless. I didn't exactly know what I was looking for, but I had a feeling I would know when I found it. I kept looking, scanning through about a hundred different websites before finally giving up. I stared blankly at the glowing computer screen. It was getting dark now, and I had put enough effort into this pointless search already. I stood up and went over to my bed, flopping down onto the mattress. I heard keys jingle and figured my dad was home from his day of dragonhunting. He called up to me.
"Aoife, you home?" He yelled through the apartment.
"Yeah." I yelled back.He popped his head into the small room I call my own.
"You ok?"
"Yeah, fine." Ugh, could he not tell I was in a bad mood?
"Ok... Just take-"
"Take it easy, I know." I finished his sentence.
"Alright then..." He said slowly, leaving the room.I groaned quietly and sat up again. Maybe I could check one last website? Nah, tomorrow maybe. I was getting tired, so I went and did what any usual lazy teen would do. Ignoring my homework, I went to bed three hours early.
------------------------------
My usual morning alarm went off at seven, waking me from a completely dreamless sleep. Unlike yesterday, I felt totally wiped out, like I had woken up at half two in the morning or something. I got up slowly, yawning, and stretched out my arms. Wait...
My bad shoulder felt completely normal again!
I looked down at the bandages. They were a little bit stained, I was supposed to be getting them redone today, but no pain at all! I carefully untied the knot holding them in place, knowing that I could redo them if I needed. I slipped the bandages down my arm a tiny bit, revealing the wound. If you could even call it that any more. It looked like it had been recovering for almost two weeks already, little puncture marks that I was sure would scar eventually. But I only got the injury two days ago...
I thought back to what Spike had told me yesterday. Dragonwhisperers usually had faster recovery rates, but this... This was at least five times faster! I glanced over at my desk, where my laptop had gone into sleep mode. I quickly started it up again to see my research exactly where I had left it. Perhaps...
The next website was www.skitterwing_protection.com. It looked like some stupid website for the protection of skitterwing dragons, which made sense since they were endangered. But something seemed off..
"We ensure all dragons in our care are safe and happy."
"All needs and wants are cared for."
"The skitterwings themselves have rated our services ten out of ten."
Ok, unless that was all a pile of lies, that would definitely be impossible unless there was a dragonwhisperer working there. How would they know the dragons were happy? How would they know what the dragons wanted? And how would the skitterwings have rated the services? There was something up here. I looked up the locations of the organisation's centres. There was one so nearby, I could walk within ten minutes!
Then the plan fell into action. I didn't know it yet, but this one tiny encounter changed everything for me.

Hey, um just wanted to say that the websites in this aren't real, so don't bother looking them up. Also me and my good friend msredpanda will be working (at some point) on a collab story once I'm done this story, and msredpanda is done her main story.
