Emily's p. o. v

I wake up to my head hurting. I was listening to the constant beep coming from a machine next to me. I groan in annoyance with the machine and hit the machine. I open my eyes and take in my surrounding. I was in a hospital room. Elena and Jeremy were sitting in chairs with aunt Jenna. I looked to my left where my hand was being held in someone else's. I look and see Elijah. I gasp and pull my hand away causing Elijah to wake up quickly. Vampire hearing.

"Love. You're awake. Here. Drink this. It will heal you." Elijah says in his thick English accent.

He bites into his wrist and feeds me some of his blood. I drink some and everything starts feeling better. I take out all of the needles and monitor things stuck to me. I sit up and hold my head at the excruciating pain still. Elijah takes my hand.

"Careful love. It'll hurt just a little longer. I'll go get the doctor." He says before kissing my forehead and going to get the doctor.

The doctor comes in and starts checking over me.

"What's the last thing you remember?" The doctor asks

I look at her. I start remembering about when I saw the headlights and then everything went black.

"Umm. Headlights. I was driving and someone cut into my lane and crashed into me." I say softly

"Ok. Seems no memory loss. That's good. How are you feeling?" She asks

"Good. I guess. Can I go home?" I ask her softly.

"Well, as long as your husband here can sign these papers promising to take care of you, then you may." She says

"Oh. He's-" I say as I go to correct her

"I'm her husband. We've been married a year now. I was so worried about you babe." He says cutting me off and kissing me softly.

Elijah quickly signs the papers and be doctor leaves. Elijah helps me get dressed and then wakes everyone up. We all leave. Elijah takes me to my house but he only packs me a bag that'll last a few months before bringing us to his family mansion. This will be amazing. Notice my sarcasm?
