Emily's p.o.v.

It has been a month now. I was only there for another two months. Hopefully. On the outside I was acting like leaving Elijah was going to be fun and the best thing ever. But on the inside, I was dying. I felt bad that it took him this long to find me, his mate. I want to be able to give him a child. One day. But right now I can't. Im heading off to college in two months. I will be honest, I have been slowly falling for Elijah. Yes, in the beginning I didn't like that he compelled me and took me for months. But he eventually let me go back to he who shall not be named. Ok. Back to Damon. I can't forever be angry at him. That would be a lifetime. I had slowly started talking to Damon again but Elijah was my main priority now. I walk around the family mansion and head down to the kitchen where Elijah was making me breakfast like he does every morning. He had added vervain in my water because he didn't trust Klaus. I eat slowly and silently.

"Love. Is everything ok?" He asks me

"Yes Elijah. I just haven't been feeling well this morning. I'm probably running a fever." I say

He nods and feels my forehead even though it won't do much good. I finish eating breakfast and clean my plates off. I head upstairs and get ready for the day. As I'm about to brush my teeth, I get the overwhelming feeling to puke. I did and Elijah vampire sped up to the bathroom. He held my hair back and rubbed my back. When I was done, I wiped my mouth and brushed my teeth. Elijah made me use the thermometer. When it beeped, I looked at it and I was running a fever.

"Love. Go lay down. I'll take care of you today. I'll call Elena and Bonnie to let them know you can't come over because you're sick." Elijah says and points to the bed telling me to go lay down.

As I'm about to protest, he points again.

"No arguing. Lay down and get some rest." He says sternly.

I pout dragging my feet as I walk over to the bed and climb in. I slowly take off my jeans and tshirt pulling on one of Elijah's as usual. I lay down and slowly close my eyes falling asleep.
