Zoey & Dren Forbidden Love (Book 1)

Chapter 5: Losing Her

It was a long time before all the Mew Mew's woke up, they found Zoey and took her back to Cafe Mew Mew. The others told Wesley and Elliot what had happened and Zoey was taken to the Mew Mew hospital where she lay in a bed. The monitor stated that she was uncontious and that she was in a coma and wouldn't wake up for quite awhile yet. Everyone was worried sick including Mark when he overheard what happened to Zoey. Zoey's heart rate was beating slowly and was at 50% looking like she may not make it but still alive.

Meanwhile in the Cineclone world Dren was sat alone on one of the highest pillars grieving his lost love. "Oh Zoey why I could've saved you!" Dren cried angrier at himself than Sardon for killing her. Dren kept crying, he was now alone, he thought back to all the times when Zoey was alive. The way her hair shined in the light, the way she thought, how beautiful she was and about all the times she said her sweet little saying. Dren looked into the sky "how could I let this happen I promised I would protect her... and I failed" Dren said in tears. "You've failed at everything!" Dren looked up to see Sardon floating beside him "oh it's you" Dren said turning away. "Yes" Sardon turned Dren's head back "and I just came here to tell you that we are going to try again  tomorrow and this time you will stay here!." Dren growled "you've already killed Zoey the one person that meant everything to me haven't they suffered enough!" He yelled. Sardon looked at him hard "so it's true you did have a soft spot for the ugly Mew Mew cat," Sardon turned away a small smirk across his face. "Don't call her that you know nothing about her!" Dren snapped "if it wasn't for you she'd still be alive and safe in my arms where I can protect her from you!." Suddenly Tarb appeared "hey traitor sorry to hear about your girlfriend," he laughed wickedly "oh HA HA quite the little joker aren't you brat" Dren scoffed "and for the last time she is NOT my girlfriend." Sardon and Tarb left after a few moments of scolding Dren and once again Dren was left to grieve. Dren was thinking about what Tarb had said and sighed "she isn't my girlfriend but... I wish she was I always have but she never gave me a chance what was it she was going to say to me before she died in my arms anyway? Was she trying to confess her love to me oh I don't know I just wish she were still alive."

Back at Cafe Mew Mew everyone waited patiently for Wesley to return with news about Zoey even Elliot looked worried too. "Im afraid her heart rate is still the same" Wesley said sighing "this is all our fault" Bridget turned to the others "if we would of had her back none of this would have happened." Renee stepped forward "now hold on its not your fault Bridget this isn't anyone's fault she's still alive isn't she and she's only in a coma so she will be fine you'll see." Everyone looked at Renee "I hope your right" Cerena said.
