Chase
"Chase." Ava nudges me. I glance at the clock it's 3:30. "Babe wake up!"
"I'm up." I sit up.
"It's time." She smile holding her hand on her lower back.
I jump outta bed getting dressed. Ava slowly gets dressed as I get everything in the car. I come back to the house and walk with Ava to the car. I rub her leg as I speed down the empty streets. I look over at her and her cheeks are flushed. When we get to the hospital we rush through the doors. I give the lady our last name and she gets us to a room right away.
Ava
Chase holds Macey softly singing to her. I smile at my wonderful husband and new baby girl. I scoot over and Chase and Macey lay in the small bed next to me.
"I love you baby." Chase kisses me.
"I love you. I'm couldn't be happier." I tell him. He hands me the baby I lay her on my chest and Chase holds me.
Chase's mom arrives to the hospital and holds the baby while I rest. It was kinda hard to share but the glow in her eyes was almost as bright as Chase's.
"Babe someone delivered flowers." Chase hands me the card. "Read it out loud." He smiles.
"Congratulations. I can't wait to meet Macey and see y'all for Thanksgiving. Love Uncle Sam. " I smile at the card.
"That was nice of him." Chase says. I nod in agreement.
Chase
After a couple days in the hospital we are allowed to bring Macey home. It's so surreal. Her nursery fits her well. I couldn't be happier in life. Our little family is perfect.
