Chapter 11: Harvey
Marina and I lay on the dusty floor of the shed, sweat glistening on our skin.
"I love you, Marina," I whispered.
"Don't say that..."
"But I do. I can say it."
We fell into a comfortable silence again.
Our bliss was short lived.
There were shouts, or more like growls, outside the shed. I began to stand up but Marina gently pulled me back down.
"It's probably Holland. Leave it," she said jokily, her eyes closed.
I stood up anyway and peered out one of the windows.
Oh shit, was all I could think.
We were slap-bang in the middle of a battle.
