Celine sat across from Axl at a table at the park by a river, a large paper holding fries between them on the table. It wasn't a very romantic way to eat lunch, but Axl was being really sweet today, and the modest setting made Celine feel relaxed.
"Are you done eating?" He smiled,
"Yeah." She replied.
"Okay." He rolled up the paper with the chips inside and dropped it into the bin next to the table. "Let's walk." He suggested, holding out a hand to help her up, which she took. Today Axl was wearing a black jacket and white pants with roses on them. His straight, red hair looked amazing, as always, cascading down over his shoulders. His hair and his body were two of the things Celine liked most about Axl, even if she didn't know a whole lot about the guy himself.
He kept hold of her hand as they began their walk through the park. There was a fragrant scent of flowers on the air, and from where she walked beside him, Celine could just smell Axl's cologne. His hand around hers was warm and slightly rough, and Celine felt giddy with joy as the two of them strolled happily along beside the river.
"You know... I've been thinking." Axl said, gazing out across the water. Celine didn't say anything, she just kept walking along next to him. "Some people are just sort of naturally shy."
"Yeah... I guess." She shrugged, not getting where he was going with this.
"I'd say you're naturally shy." He smiled at her. "That's kinda cute." He whispered, leaning close to her ear. His breath fanned across her cheek, and his fiery hair tickled the side of her face. Celine then felt Axl press his lips gently against her cheek in a quick kiss. Butterflies erupted in her belly, and she could feel a blush creep up her cheeks. "You're a cutie, Celine." He smiled at her. The pair stopped walking, and Axl faced her, his eyes sparkling joyously in the afternoon sun. Celine smiled up at him, and he looked her straight in the eyes.
"You're so pretty." His words hung in the air for a moment, and he swept a stray strand of her hair behind her ear. Axl broke their gaze to glance around. "Wanna go somewhere more private?" He asked quietly.
"Erm... okay?" Celine responded. They were pretty much alone, so she didn't really get what he meant, but she let him take her by the hand anyway, and lead her away.
They jogged down the street, holding hands, Axl in the lead. He led her to the club where Guns N' Roses had been performing not two hours before, and took her around the building to the back door.
"Shhh!" Axl smirked and quietly opened the door, peering in to see if anyone was there.
"What are you doing?" She whispered, but Axl just put his finger against his lips, beckoned for her to follow, and led her into the building. The hallway within was dim, only lit by the flickering green exit sign over the door they had just passed through. Axl still had a hold of her hand as they crept past door after closed door, some with lights shining under them, others obviously empty.
He took her to the very end of the hallway and through a heavy security door which happened to be unlocked. Axl quietly closed it behind them, then he shot her a big smile and continued into a much shorter, much dimmer hallway then the last. This hallway was almost door-less, and it opened directly into the back stage area. To one side, the curtains along the back of the stage thinly cut them off from the rest of the world, to the other side was a brick wall. That meant that the hallway they had just left was where the band hung out after the show. Celine followed Axl to a ladder at the far end of the backstage area, which led up to... somewhere. Axl stood at the bottom of the ladder, waiting.
"Axl I don't think we should be doing this." She whispered, sensing that this probably wasn't normally allowed.
"Nah, it's fine." He replied. The only part of him she could see was a glint of his fiery hair in the very dim light. Feeling the pressure because of the fact that Axl was standing around waiting, Celine stepped up to the ladder and began to climb.
"That's it sweetie. Don't worry, I'll catch you if you fall." Axl called up to her. She couldn't see anything, but the platform at the top seemed to be made of metal as she pulled herself up onto it. Axl soon joined her, and grabbed her hand.
"Now we'll need to be quiet." He said, pulling on her hand gently. She followed him blindly, both of them crouched low in fear of falling over because of the darkness.
Axl rose to his feet suddenly, then there was a click as if of a doorknob turning, and Axl let go of her hand. Light flooded through a doorway before her. Celine stood up, and stepped through the door, and Axl shut it behind her.
"You can just talk normally now." He said at a normal volume,
"Why are we here?" She asked, looking around the tiny room which was full of metal edged crates and boxes, the kind that normally house large speakers and amps while traveling. Axl settled on the floor, leaning his back against some of the boxes.
"Come, sit." He gestured to the floor in front of him. Celine came and sat where he had prompted her to, and looked towards him. Axl leaned forward slightly, gazing at her.
"You know... I've really liked hanging out with you today." He smiled ever so slightly. "It's been really fun. I've wanted to get to know you better." There was a short pause, "you know, cause we sort of just fuck and that's it." He elaborated, "and after today you really seem like somebody I want to have around." He told her. "I really like you, Celine. Alot." He glanced down, drawing circles on the floor with his fingers. He looked sort of nervous. "I wanted to know if- if you wouldn't mind dating me?" He stammered slightly, glancing up at her hopefully.
"What?" She had heard, but she was quite suprised. Celine didn't really know what to say,
"If you... wouldn't mind dating me. Like- be my girlfriend?" Axl said, obviously thinking her confusion had to do with not hearing what he had said.
"Y-yes. I'd love to date you!" She said very quickly, and leaned forward to embrace him. He stood up, and picked her up with him, and then he lifted her off her feet and caught her lips with his. The kiss was magical, sparks flew between them, and for a moment Celine felt totally cut off from the entire world. Axl was all that exsisted in that second.
When he finally put her down onto her feet, and rested his forehead against hers, smiling, Celine felt like the luckiest girl in the whole entire world.
