"All we're saying is that you're spending a LITTLE too much time with that Jessica" said the captain of the fedora rebellion, Fred. They sat in the small space that was their main base, which was just the back room of a Chinese buffet. It was poorly lit, and smelled of stale egg rolls, but it sufficed.
"Get off my case Fred!" said Claudius who was slightly annoyed by their bickering. "I'm here now aren't I?"
"You missed our weekly rebellion bingo night!" chimed one member. "Bob won, but you weren't there to see it!"
"You could've at least congratulated me." muttered Bob. He wore a gold ribbon that read "big winner!""I'm sorry Bob, in fact I'm sorry everyone. But I just don't think you understand, that what me and Jessica have is more than just a petty relationship! It's a petty relationship with plot development!" The captain chimed in
"You need to decide soon Claudius. What's more important to you. The rebellion or the girl? The sooner you figure it out the sooner you can make it to bingo night!"
The entire crew agreed. But Claudius was furious now. "Maybe I don't WANT to go to bingo night!"
The room fell silent. Everyone stared at Claudius, wide eyed and motionless. "Get out" Fred muttered, head down. "Listen cap, I didn't mean to-"
"I said GET OUT!" his arm pointed to the door. Claudius looked around. No one said anything. They didn't defend him, they just sat silent, refusing to make eye contact. "Fine." the word felt stale in Claudius's mouth, like the after taste of year old potato chips. He walked out into the crowded Buffet. Unfortunately he wasn't looking where he was going, and slammed into a salad bar, falling in headfirst. He ran out into the cold street, embarrassed and confused. He decided that the only thing to cheer him up would be to see Jessica. So he boarded the train to her apartment. She could cheer him up, could't she?
