My Little Love Letters

Love Begins

Friday. Sunny

Today was a usual day like every other little insignificant day of my life. Small and unnoticed. I was running with my books piled up on my arms. I was late for science class.

I was dashing towards my classroom, as a slim shadow appeared in my narrow vision, as the tall pile of books have narrowed my vision ahead. Suddenly, I heard a 'thud' and my books was scattered all over the floor. I was also among the things that were on the floor.

I immediately started picking up my books and piled them up. The slim shadow that I saw earlier was dashing further away from me as I heard a "sorry" from that mysterious figure. I was sure that we would meet again.

I started running towards the classroom again. I was, unfortunately, late for class. Mr. Johnson gave me a punishment of writing a book report about some classic book. I'm definitely going to stay up all night again to finish the book report. Dang it!

As I was returning home from school, I saw that mysterious slim shadow again. I turned my head to see who was that person who bumped into me this morning. I was about to start going beserk on that person for knocking into me, but as soon as I glanced at her. My life story had to be rewritten again.

She was beautiful. Had a beautiful smile and dazzling long silky black hair. She suddenly became a thief in my life, wanted for stealing my heart. I melted as she walked past me. I was mesmerized by her beauty. Caught in the moment.

She then realise that I was there and remembered that she bumped into this morning. She immediately stopped walking with her friends and bid goodbye to them and turned towards me. I was surprised that she remembered.

We exchanged greetings and that was when I was told of her name. She is known as Gwen and she just moved into the neighborhood. She bumped into me this morning, because she was rushing to the locker to get her textbook for class.

She was definitely not American. I heard that she was Asian, from China. She lived near my house, so we decided to walk home together. We had a long chat while we strolled down the neighborhood, she was telling me about how she pictured America and was not disappointed with what she saw. She also constantly apologized about the incident that both of us had this morning.

Gwen was kind, she kept on telling me about herself and hoped to get close to me. I was thrilled, but the most embarrassing thing about the conversation we had, was that I kept starring at her and didn't bother looking at the road. That was when I tripped over a big stone and fell face flat on the grass.

She laughed as I stood up and tried to hide my embarrassment. I was bleeding, I cut my left cheek as my face landed first and there was a sharp stone on the floor. She saw the blood dripping from my cheek and immediately pulled out a bandage and sticked it on me. I hesitated, but she was too kind and refused to leave me as long as that bandage isnt on my face. She put the bandage on as my face became as red as a tomato.

She saw me blushing and couldn't help blushing too. We both awkwadly continued to walk as the silence drowns the both of us. I snapped out of my embarrassment and started talking about what happened in school today. She heard of my punishment and felt really guilty. She apologized repeatedly and I forgave her ( of course I would, who wouldn't forgive the girl that stole your heart? ).

We reached Gwen's house first and she bid me goodbye. I hesitated for a moment, because I wanted to talk to her a little more. I said goodbye and begun my journey home. I was disappointed with the short chat with her, since I wanted to talk to her a lot. But then again, I was content with every little moment that I had with her.

Now all that was on my mind, was the book report that I had to complete within 2 days. There goes my weekend and my precious sleeping time.
