Saturday, Sunny

Time was ticking away as my pencil and pen scribbled on a blank piece of paper. I had to complete my book report which was due in 2 days. My friends all went to play football and I was left alone at home with mom and dad to complete my assignment.

I was about to get up from work and get a cup of hot chocolate, as my mom opened the door and brought a guest in. I was walking down the stairs to get my drink, when suddenly, I heard a familiar voice. I speed up and walked quickly. To my astonishment, it was Gwen who came.

I immediately asked why she came, and she told me that she felt guilty for what she had done and that I was punished for something I didn't do. She offered help on my book report, but I hesitated. Part of me was extremely interested to work with her, but part of me didn't want her to waste her weekend to help me do my homework.

She insisted and I was forced to accept her help. Gwen then came up to my room and started taking out books from her bag to help me, along with a pen. She recommended me to read Moby-dick, as it was quite interesting. I took the book from her and started reading it, while sipping on my hot chocolate. She then came and sat right beside me and leaned on me. I blushed and felt my head getting dizzy as my body temperature rised. I was embarassed.

She pointed out the important things in the book and we continued reading it until lunch. Gwen and I went out to grab something to eat. Both of us walked to a nearby restaurant to get a burger or a plate of fried rice. We waited around 30 minutes to get our meal and began walking home. She was talking to me about how she loves puppies as we took our time returning home. Gwen was really cute as she talked about her love for puppies, her eyes glowed as she talked about them. I am seriously in love with her, even though I only met her for 2 days.

We reached home and finished the book and lunch together, by the time we were done, both of us were exhausted and sleepy. So I decided to snooze on the floor and didn't bother where Gwen would nap. I closed my eyes shut and fell into a deep sleep, the sleep was delicious. When I was sleeping I felt something leaning on me, I thought it was me rolling towards me table and crashing into it, so I didn't bother to wake up.

After 1 hour of napping, I finally woke up. Usually when people wake up, they feel energetic or hungry, but I was shocked. Why? Because Gwen was sleeping next to me, with her hands on my chest. I had some dirty thoughts for some odd reason, I felt like punching myself for thinking like that. She woke up 30 minutes after me. We then begun writing the report.

She was close and I was blushing nonstop. I was really awkward when she begun leaning on my shoulder and asking me questions. She once asked me about my favourite colour, and I answered "the colour of your eyes", after answering, I begun blushing even harder and felt stupid. There was a moment of silence, but I could Gwen trying to hide a smile, she either found my methods of flirting funny, or my awkwardness.

We finished the report around 9.45pm. It was late and Gwen was walking home. I walked her home to ensure her safety and repeatedly thanked her for her assistance. After the walk, I felt really hyped and happy. I couldn't stop smiling. Why? Well, when Gwen was about to go into her house, she gave me a kiss on my cheek and ran in. Smiling and saying goodbye.

Maybe, just maybe, she has something for me too. I want to know. I want to know, desperately. I really need more security, because, I still can't believe that a girl can just walk in and steal my heart in a matter of seconds.

Gwen, I love you.
