Tuesday, Raining

"Has anyone told you, that if you held 10 flowers and looked into the mirror, you'd see 11 beautiful things?"

That was exactly what I felt like telling Gwen today, as there was a formal party and she came in a dress. She wore a bright purple dress and had a floral hair band on her right arm. She was dazzling. It was as if, my dreams and fantasies of her came true.

The party was outside school compound and to celebrate knowing Gwen for almost a month, I brought her flowers. Roses, to be specific.I came in navy blue tuxedo with a blood red tie. Black shoes to complete the set. I was wondering if Gwen could dance, because I can't dance, but wanted to dance with her. I was shy to begin with, so I didn't ask her.

But suddenly a thought came to mind, and I gathered my courage and asked her for a dance, while warning her that I can't dance at all. She just smirked and agreed to my invitation. We danced.

It was a slow dance, slow paced and cuddly. I had my arms around her waist and her arms around my neck. No words were spoken in the first few minutes. The was just plain silence. Suddenly, she just complimented my dancing skills. "You aren't that bad, James," said Gwen. "Slow and gentle, but a little clumsy that's all"

That compliment made my day. I couldnt stop smiling after she complimented me. I was drowning in happiness. She began leaning closer to me, I kept quiet and just stared into her beautiful eyes. " Has anyone complimented your eyes," I asked Gwen. "They are just dazzling like the stars." I could see her smiling and trying to hide her smile, I just looked into her. I could feel something, something deep down that I wanted to say.

"I think a boy like you should be patient for what's to come," said Gwen as she began leaving my arms. "Don't rush things, make things more fun." I think that was just an excuse to go to the toilet for her. She left me alone and I began drifting towards my gang of pals. Adam greeted me and spoke: "You are just so in love with her, aren't you?" " No, I'm not. I not THAT madly in love with her," I replied. "Lies," as Jonathan joined our conversation. " I could see your eyes glow, as she talks to you. You just love her too much."

This is my group of best friends: Adam, Johnathan, Jacob and Leon. I've known them since Year 4 and now we are in Year 8. Adam is the sports-guy, Johnathan is the encyclopedia, Jacob is the speaker and Leon is the psychologist. They all have different qualities which make them individually unique. They are my best friends. They know a lot about me. Too much to describe.

As the party went on, the loudness of the music grew. I became annoyed by all the electronic music that the DJ is playing. So, I decided to go outside and get some fresh air. The balcony, to be precise.

I was exhausted too, so as soon as my arms touched to balcony railing. I leaned on them, making a weird creaking noise. I saw Gwen staring at the stars and zoning out. I slide across the railing to get closer to her. I snapped my fingers to drag her back from whatever dream she was in. She was shocked and let out a little scream. "AHHHH, OH MY GOD," screamed Gwen. "Do not do that ever again. You scared me."

This is why my heart of stolen by her. Even when she's scared, she never seems to amaze me with that cute little face of hers. She started blushing as I blankly stared at her. She smacked me on my shoulder. I felt a little pain, but other than that, I was fine. I started flirting with her just a little and I could see that she was anticipating on what I would say next. I was thrilled. Also, not to mention, feeling dizzy.

"Are you flirting with me," asked Gwen. I replied saying no, because flirting is used if the two are dating, being extra nice, is when their not. So, I consider myself being extra nice to Gwen. She laughed and called me a liar. I smirked and grabbed her hand. I gently spoke.

"You are the most beautiful girl, I've ever met so far in my life, when I first met you, I thought that if I ever complimented a person about their looks, that compliment would go to you," I said. She put her arms around me and whispered something that I could not understand properly. I think she said "Thank You". But I'm not sure.

The party ended at 12am. Gwen and I walked home together. We laughed and talked about how our lives would progress if one event never happened. I enjoyed my time.

I really did.
