"...Alice, there's no place for you here."
Lightning blazes, blurry, through the thick rain beating on the window with its repetitious popping sound/cracking firework sound as thunder booms rolling across the sky. Smoke caresses the window leaving breathes of heat, blocking Ayumi's view of the outside world. The burning cigarette between her blood-stained shaking fingers pressed to lips like the beat of a metronome. Resting on the handle of the chair with her legs perfectly crossed and her hair perfectly placed - serene. But the right hand that clenched her left arm and the eyes that twitched back and forth between the window and the ajar bathroom door. The dripping sound that she couldn't get out of her head, just like the whispering voice that repeated its every hating word.
Dropping the cigarette to the ground, she crushes it underfoot before stalking into the bathroom to deal with the mess of the overflowing tub.
