"The beautiful ghosts of our past haunt us, and yet we still can't decide if the pain they caused us outweighs the tender moments when they touched our soul. This is the irony of love."

"Ayumi, talk to me."
Ayumi looks past her ex-boyfriend's well-shaven face, "Next person please."
"Ayumi, please talk to me."
Taking the order, she asks, "Would you like anything else with that, ma'am?"
Looking over at Ayumi's ex, the dark-haired woman answers, "No."
"Ayumi, don't ignore me. We need to talk."
"That's $4.90."
"Ayumi -"
Keitorin brushes by her side, "Ayumi, I'll take over. Stop your ex from disturbing the customers."
Taking off her hairnet, she moves around the end of the table, walking out the backdoor, followed closely by her ex.
Exasperated, she spins to face him as they reach outside and asks, "What do you want?"
"Ayumi, I still love you and I still want to be here for you."
"Get to the point."
"Please, be my girlfriend again."
Daring to touch her face, he continues, "I know you love me as much as I love you. No one can ever forget what happened last year- "
"Don't talk about last year! Do you know how many sleepless nights I've had because of you?"
"I can't even begin to guess the answer now that you locked me out of your life."
"The answer is. Every. Single. Night. Even if it hurts me that much, I'm never taking you back."
Touching her again, he says, "I can make it better."
Slapping his hand away, she yells, "It's not a sickness! You look at me with those eyes that can never comprehend my pain and just see them as folly."
With his mouth open, Ayumi turns away, "Stop catching flies and go away. We are never getting back together...Thomas."
Heading towards the bathroom, she walks away.
Sitting down on the toilet, she sniffs, putting her head in her hands, whispering, "Everything will be better in Wonderland. It's always Alice that's the chosen one."
