Stuffing peanuts incessantly into her mouth, Ayumi stares into the abyss of words in her biology textbook. Weighing down the bench, someone sits down in front of her.

"You are not wanted here, Sydney," Ayumi mutters, pausing from chewing on her peanuts but not looking up.

"Look I know this isn't what you wanted but our siblings are watching -"

Ayumi glances from the picnic table to the field as Sidney continues, "and I have something that can make us both feel better."

"What?"

"I know a guy who knows a guy..."

Ayumi looks up from her book slowly, pausing in her peanut eating, "and if you want, we could hang out."

Smiling behind her lifted textbook, Ayumi said, "My place then."

Pulling her textbook down, Sidney smiles, "Your place then."

"What time?"

"We could have a date before then."

The bell rings as Ayumi shoves her book in her bag, "See you after school."

Sidney calls, "Aren't you going to take your garbage?"

Ayumi just waves.

"They look sweet together, don't they?" Keitorin comments.

Kissing her on the lips, her boyfriend says, "We are the best matchmakers, ever!"

"Definitely."

"Tell me now. What's your favorite book?"

"Alice in Wonderland has always been my childhood favorite."

"Is it because your name is in it?"

"No, silly. It's because it's all about teaching people to believe in themselves and not think everything is impossible."

Rubbing his nose against hers, "Would you want to live there?"

"Without you?"

"Yes."

"Never."

"Is that your sister's favourite too?"

"Yeah, she's crazy about it. She even read all the remakes, fanfictions, and parodies. Even her birthdays used to be Alice in Wonderland-themed but I think she'll finally grow out of it this year."
