To Be or Not To Be

Chapter One

Blah blah blah
I sat at the very back of the class, watching the leaves fall. Why you ask? It's fall, Genius
I'm sorry, I'm kinda angry right now. The day is going by so slow D:
"A couple of transfer students will be arriving tomorrow" Mr. White said, looking up from their files "Miss. Reid, I would like you to give them a tour since you didn't hear a word I said" I just nodded and continued looking out the window.
"Class dismissed" He said, standing in front of his desk "Miss. Reid, for someone who doesn't listen you sure know your answers" He said as I packed my bag and adjusted my hood.
I got up from my chair and walked to the front of the class, grabbing the transfer students files and my paper with an A+ written on it.
When everyone left the room, I pushed off my hood.
"The day is going by so slow" I opened the file, seeing a redhead named Merida, Shaggy brown haired named Hiccup, Gottee guy named Flynn, Blondie named Punzie, another Redhead named Anna, Blonde guy named Kristof, and...? Whiteout named Jack.
"Do you know any of these kids?" I ask, looking up to him.
"No clue. I've never seen them before, and that's odd" He said, putting his hands on his hips.
"How is that possible!? You're the seer for crying out loud!" I say, opening my bag and putting the files in.
"Well, I didn't exactly know you at first. I didn't even know you existed" He chuckled.
I rolled my eyes playfully "Why did you choose me to go on this unknown adventure?"
He just shrugged his shoulders "I could always give it to the next student"
"No, that's fine. I get to skip your class" I stuck my tounge out and raised my hood "Bye, Mr. White"
I walked out the door and into the busy hallway, nearly getting trampled by students. See, Mr. White is sort of like a father to me. I found out he was a seer when he slipped up and said the thing I did to miss class. He confessed once everyone left the room.
He doesn't know I'm an Immortal, well technically a guardian but whatever. I'll explain more of that later.
Lunch here I come.
-Next Day-
-5:30 am-
Beep Beep Beep
"Ughh" I groaned, slapping my alarm clock. I sat up in my bed and stretched. I could leave school at anytime I want, why do I stay?
I pushed the covers off of me, feeling the warm air on my bare skin. I fell out of bed and preceded to crawl to my bathroom.
After I did what I needed in there, I threw on a blue t-shirt and dark blue jeans. I left my hair down and slipped on my blue converse, then put on some light make-up. I pulled on my hoodie and grabbed my bag.
-At school-
I parked my black motorcycle in a parking spot, turned it off and pulled off my helmet. I always get here before students so nobody sees me arrive.
I pull up my hood and look up at the dark blue sky. Why did you send me here?
I sighed and got off my bike, grabbing my keys and bag and walked towards the school doors.
I stood against the brick wall with my head down and arms crossed.
"Elsa, they will be here in exactly 3 minutes. Be ready, okay?" Mr. White said as he walked past me. I nodded and proposed my left foot up on the brick wall.
Exactly 3 minutes later, the first bus pulls in and I feel everyone staring at me from the bus.
I heard it stop and open its doors. I look up and see the transfer students get off first.
"Is that Clohie Reid?" Everyone whispered as they walked past me. Yes, I go by a fake name when I'm not around Mr. White.
I pulled out the file with everyone's name on it.
"Merida, Hiccup, Flynn, Punzie, Anna, Kristof, and Jack" I looked up and saw them walking towards me. Everyone was surprised I could actually talk.
"You 7 are transfer students, correct?" I asked, looking at all of them.
"Yes" Anna said and squealed. Merida elbowed her and looked at her in a way to make her stop.
"I'll be your tour guide" I said and glanced at Jack to find him looking at me in a weird way.
"Lets Gooo!" Anna squealed, running into the glass door. I hid my giggle and walked towards the door as she stood up.
I kept my head down as we walked through the halls.
"All of the lockers are on the second floor. The first floor consists of Science, Biology, Math, Helth, and, P.E." I said, turning towards them "You should get out of class as soon as possible if you don't want to get trampled" I turned back around and walked towards the stairs "I will take you to your lockers and classes if needed" I looked back to see them nod.
Once we get to the top of the stairs, I look at their files again and get their locker numbers.
"Merida, your locker number is 102. Hiccup, 378. Flynn and Punzie, 304 and 305, Anna 257, Kristof 264, and Jack just follow me" I nod as they all go their separate ways while Jack follows me.
"So, what's your name?" He asks, walking beside me.
"I-It doesn't matter" I say and walk a little faster.
I look down and continue until I get to my locker, which is number 27.
"Yours is right over there" I point at the one by the window, which is locker number 1.
"Thanks" He says and walks away.
Why did he look at me that way? Probably doesn't mean anything.
I shake the thought away and open my locker, putting my books away, but keeping my history books. They got here extra early, which means I'm still going to Mr. Whites class. Honestly, he is my favorite teacher.
I close my locker and walk towards the staircase, seeing all of them gathered by Punzie and Flynns lockers.
I run down the stairs and down the hall, trying to beat the class.
I walk into history and see no one there yet but Mr. White.
"Miss. Reid" He says, looking at me. I nod and walk to the back of the room, by the window.
The rest of the class begins to walk in and soon, everyone is here.
"Okay, today we will learn..." I doze off as I watch the trees and clouds.
"Class dismissed" Whoa that was fast...
I grab my bag and pretend to pack it as everyone walks out. I walk to the front of the class, but keep my hood up.
"Have you seen... anything on those transfers?" He shakes his head.
"Nothing yet" I nod and walk out of the class as the next starts to come in.
"Clohie Reid? She's a mystery to everyone. Nobody has seen her face or even heard her voice, well, except for those transfers. They were lucky enough to hear her voice" Someone said as I walked down the hall. I usually skip classes after Mr. Whites class. There is a tree I sit down by and read a book or something.
I walk through the doors and towards my tree. Yes, my tree. I planted it.
I sit down and put my back against the tree. I pull out my book and continue reading from whatever chapter I'm on.
That's the thing, pain demands to be felt.
"What are you doing out here, Miss. Mysterious" I look up and see Hiccup walking towards me.
"I just need to be alone for a bit" I sigh "You know, because of stress and stuff" Yea... Stuff alright.
"Oh okay, then I'll leave you be" He said and turned around. I watched him walk away and back into the school building.
Why am I so anti-social?
Because your not suppose to be here.
I sighed, putting my book in my bag. I'm not gonna be able to read anyway...
"So we are suppose to find this Elsa Knight, who of which is a supposed dead guardian. North is crazy" I hear hiccup say.
Yes, I have super hearing.
"North is trying to find me?" I whisper to myself "Wait..."
The transfers are guardian's!?
Well, I might as well be prepared to have my background dug into now. I just hope Mr. White can keep my name a secret.
I gasp. Mr. White didn't know. I quickly grab my stuff and run towards the school building. I see the other guardian's to my left as they eye me suspiciously.
I run inside and through the empty halls, towards his class. I make the bells ring and everyone begins walking out of classes.
I make it to Mr. White just as everyone walks out.
I close And lock the door, pull the blindes down on the window and push off my hood.
"Mr. White, if anyone comes in here claiming to be someone their not and asks for my name and stuff, tell them about my fake background, not my real one" I say, taking a deep breath. He looks very confused...
"Uhm, why?" He asks, standing up from his chair.
I didn't think this through...
"Stalker! I have a stalker" I'm not exactly lying.
"Just remember, I'm a seer. You can't hide anything from me. You need help?" He asks, standing in front of me.
"No, I've got it. I don't need anyone getting suspicious" I looked towards the door "There are already rumors that were dating... Teenagers are weird"
He looked disgusted and took a step back "Okay, just yell if you need anything" He smiled and went back to his chair.
I nod and fix my hood and leave the room.
"Miss. Clohie! May I speak to you for a moment?" I turn around to find a little brown headed 7 year old girl.
I look up and see the halls empty.
"Hey, what are you doing in here?" I asked, kneeling down to her height.
"I'm having a project thing on high school. People talk about you a lot so I decided to come to you" She smiled and took a princess notebook and pencil out of her princess bag "Okay, what's your name?"
I giggled and smiled "Clohie Reid"
She wrote it down in her own little font, it was so cute :D
"Age?" She looked up at me when she was done.
"18" I say, starting to get a little anxious for some reason. I began checking around us ever few seconds.
"Why did you choose this school?" She asked, looking at me again.
"Uh, I don't know..." Suddenly, people with guns began running into the school. The little girl screamed and I picked her up.
"Close your eyes!"
I raised my hand towards the men and sent a gust of wind towards them. They fell and gave me time to get away.
I ran around the corner and towards the back doors.
"Get her!"
"Don't let her Get away!"
I pushed through the doors roughly, protecting the little girl from any harm. I can't fly, people will see me.
I run towards my tree and stand behind it, hiding the little girl behind me.
"Hey, hey, it's going to be okay" I wipe her tears from her face "What's your name?"
"S-Sophia" She sniffles and I heard the doors open. I put my finger over my lips and pull her close to me. I hug her and rub her head and back, trying to calm her down.
"She got away!"
I hear police sirens in the distance "We've gotta bail!" I look around the tree slightly to see them jump into the air.
Are they like me?
I look at Sophia.
"Hey, they're gone okay? You're going to be okay, I promise" I pick her up and peek around the corner, seeing nobody. I hesitantly run across the small gap and into the school. I lock the door and run towards the front door. I heard footsteps behind me...
I stop and swing my leg into the air, kicking the person in the face. Whoever it was fell and I continued to run.
I pushed through the doors and see people and cops crowding at the bottom of the stairs.
"Students! Get down here, hurry!" A cop said and I obeyed.
"Sophia!" A woman said.
"Mommy!" Sophia yelled, looking behind her.
A woman with brown hair and freckles ran up to me and I gave Sophia to her.
"Oh, I'm so glad you're okay" The woman said, hugging her daughter tightly. She looks at me with tears in her eyes "Thank you so much for keeping my daughter safe. I owe you my life"
"No, it's fine. You owe me nothing" I said, smiling "I'm just glad Sophia wasn't alone"
"Sophia!?" Someone else yelled. I turn around and see Jack running towards her.
I backed away and let them have their space. He takes Sophia from her mom and hugs her tightly.
I raise my hand and felt my hood still up.
Jack gave her back to her mom and turned towards me. He hugged me and I felt a tear fall onto my shoulder.
"Thank you so much" He whispers. I smile and hug him back, patting his back.
We know who you are, Elsa Knight. Don't think you can disguise yourself forever.
I gasped and let go of Jack. He gave me a confused look as I put my back towards him.
We won't fail at capturing you next time. That's a promise.
I began to panic. Who is trying to find me and how do they know me!?
"Clohie? What's wrong?" I turn towards him again.
"Where is Mr. White!?" I look around the crowd, trying to find him "Did he get out of the school!?"
I spin around and look at the school.
Then, the entire school exploded. The last thing I saw was Mr. White... in the air?
