To Be or Not To Be

Chapter 3

I was gasping for air as the cold, wet rain hit my back.
"PEASE! SOMEONE HELP ME!" I cried out, feeling hopeless. I killed Sandy. I could've prevented it "please"
What have I done?
My eyes suddenly shot open, I saw a wooden roof that was all to familiar.
Tears brimmed in my eyes as I remembered what happened last time I was here...
I killed Sandy. It was my fault.
I just want to lay here and never move. I just want to see Sandy one more time to tell him how sorry I am.
I curled into a ball on my side and started to cry due to the fact I killed the one person who was considered my brother. There is not a single day I go without regretting what I did.
Creak
I gasped lightly, taken aback by the sudden noise. The door creaked open, but I couldn't hear footsteps. I felt something climb onto my bed and I looked towards the source.
A... Cat? It was a pure white snow with cyan eyes and bushy tail.
"Meow" it purred as I ran my hand down its back, even though it made out of snow...?
"I'm turning into a crazy cat lady" I whispered to myself and smiled.
It climbed into my lap and curled into a ball "Aren't you just a little cutie? Yes you are!" I giggled lightly and continued to pet it as it slowly drifted to sleep.
"If only Sandy were here..."
Sandy, the one you killed.
I looked at the ceiling and put my hands behind my head, listening and feeling the little kitty on my lap.
What if I went with them? Would I have died protecting Sandy? What if he blamed himself for my death? As bad as it sounds, I'm glad I didn't go for once, if I would've died protecting Sandy, it would've put him in a state where he... Wait what am I thinking!?!? I should've died protecting him.
Ding ding ding ding ding ding ding ding ding ding.
The sleigh.
"North, back so early?" Bunny asked, obviously confused. You could tell by the tone of his voice.
"Where's SnowAngel?" North asked "I can't feel her presence anymore!" (What up username reference! ((What up superwoman reference!)))
"Settle down, we'll find her. In the meantime go gather the other guardian's. Manny wants to talk to a certain someone"
"The day has finally come ey?" North asks.
No response, probably nodding his head.
What day- I remember...
"Go get her, Bunny" North says with a faint click
A hole suddenly appears in my floor and I jump back, falling off the bed.
"Dear mother of God what was that for!?!" I said in a very angry tone "you can't walk up the stairs like a normal person?" I stood up, rubbing my head.
He was about to say something before he looked at me.
"Whoa mate! Where did the wee little devil go!? You look more... Elegant!" He raises his paws towards me.
"Bunny, I shouldn't be here. Tooth still hates me after what happened last time I was here" I said, walking around the bed and past him.
"Mate, listen-" I cut him off as I walked out of the room.
"I don't want any of your lies, bunny. We Both know what I did and I couldn't bear doing it again" I said as I walked down the hallway.
"Just listen-"
"Bunny please. Just let me go, I can't stay here. I-"
"Just listen to me!" I suddenly stopped at his sudden outburst and turned around.
"He's-"
"Elsa!" North cheered.
I groaned and walked past north and down the stairs.
"She's still blaming herself" I heard bunny whisper.
I stepped onto the floor and searched for a way out of here, but they had all of them blocked off.
You led me straight to them? Knight, I thought you were better than this... Guess I will have to get them out of the way too, just like you did with your friend Sandy.
"You do not speak of him like that!" I slapped my hand over my mouth. You idiot! Now they will get suspicious!
"Elsa, I need you to come with us please." North said, standing in front of me "we need you to... meet somebody"
"I swear on my dear aunt sallys two front teeth if it's that stupid whoopie cushion, I'm gone" I said as he laughed. He put a hand on my back and stepped to the side, directing me towards his office.
"You must go alone, Elsa. He requested to speak to you in private" I began to get nervous, what if it's a psycho killer stalker dude!?
As I made my way towards his office, I slowly got more and more nervous up until I twisted the door knob. I took deep breath and let it out as I opened the door.
I stepped in to see like 6-7 people standing in here... and they were all looking at me.
"Miss. Knight, we have been waiting to meet you! You are a very hard person to find" A woman said, stepping forward "As you are very confused, do let us introduce ourselves. I am Mother Nature, I have control over all four elements"
"I am Father Nature, the less mean side of the elements..." a very tall man said.
"I am The Keeper of Time, I have all records any place, any time" A dark skinned man said.
"I am The Grim Reaper, keeper of souls" A man or woman said under a dark cloak.
"I am Fawn, I help any and all animals" A woman said with birds and small animals around her.
"I am The Seer, kind of the Time, except I have records of the future" A woman said.
"And last but not least, I am Manny. Ruler of the stars and guardian's" He said, stepping forward "Miss. Knight, we have thought you were dead for the past 400 years. Why is that?" He asked.
"I don't deserve to be here sir. I have done nothing to deserve any of this. And I-I... Sandy" I looked down and sniffled, holding back my tears "He died before I left. I was suppose to be there with him, I could've prevented it, I-" I was cut off by Manny.
"Shh, young one. Don't blame yourself for that. He died protecting you" He said in a reassuring tone.
"He was... protecting me?" I looked up at Manny as he nodded.
Manny looked over his shoulder and nodded his had lightly then looked back at me "Miss. Knight, why do you blame yourself when you weren't there physically?"
I stitched my brows together, confusion written all over my face "I've never thought about it that way..." I was cut off my Manny stepping to the side.
"Someone wants to see you" He whispered as I looked ahead of me.
"Sandy!" I fell to my knees as he hovered over to me. I hugged him tightly and cried into his shoulder.
He patted my back as I tried to calm down, but couldn't.
"I'm so sorry, I should've been there to help you. I could've prevented you from dying, I-"
It's okay, Elsa. Seer said You would've died instead of me if you came.
"I'd rather it be me than you" I said and let go of him, wiping my cheeks dry.
He put his hand on my cheek as I smiled at him, feeling a wave of calmness wash over me.
"Elsa, you must come out and meet your new partners. They're all new guardian's, maybe only a week into being guardian's." I stood up and wiped my cheeks once more before talking.
"The ones who came to search for me?" He nodded "well, let's go meet them."
I walked towards the door before turning "It was an honour to meet all of you" I bowed and opened the door, holding it open for Manny and Sandy.
I shut the door and walked in between them both with my hands behind my back.
"May I change into something more appropriate?" I still had my hoodie and pants on.
"Right here?" Manny asked.
"It will be fine"
I slowly raised my hands to create a delicate ice dress with a strip showing my bare middle back, stopping above my waistline, light sleeves, and a baby blue top, as for the bottom, it was shorter in the front as it got longer in the back. The entire dress was baby blue with a very thin frost over lining. I also had ice ankle booties. I pulled my bangs back and pinned them onto the back of my head.
"Done, shall we continue?" I asked as I walked past them.
-time bloop-
We reached the globe room on the bottom floor and saw everyone waiting.
"Were late" I said, beginning to walk slightly faster.
"Elsa! Nice of you to join us. I see you finally got to see Sandy! I'm sorry to have kept it from you" North said as he scratched his neck.
"No hard feelings" I smiled and looked around, seeing the newer guardian's, Bunny... and Tooth. I averted my eyes back to north and continued "I see were a tad bit late?"
"Nah, everyone just got here" He said, looking at everyone.
"So why exactly do you two want me to meet these guardian's?" I asked, glancing at them, only to find them talking to tooth and bunny. I look back to north.
"Well, we were hoping if you could teach them the up and downs of being a guardian" North asked, playing with his fingers.
"Is this why you got me here? You want me to train these guardian's myself? North, I can't do that! I can't go through what I went through with Sandy again, I just can't" I said, looking at them again.
I could train them 1 on 1.
I sighed "I'll try"
I was suddenly engulfed in a hug.
"Thank you Miss. Knight" Manny said.
"Yup"
What have I gotten myself into?
