Emma's POV

She got nervous as she stood by Regina's door. She kept walking up to it then turning away. Suddenly Regina opened the door, pursing her beautiful lips in annoyance.

"I can't stand you walking across my front lawn anymore Swan. I swear your going to kill all the grass." Regina said sarcastically.

Emma hid a smile and mumbled an apology. "Regina will you go out with me? I want to be with you, for real."

"You could have just texted you know. You didn't have to plow through my lawn. Yes, of course I will go out with you Swan. Where are we going?"

"Oh um" Emma stuttered. Crap I probably should have thought about that but nooo I was too busy stressing on her answer.

"Never mind Swan your hopeless." Regina said, quickly pecking her lips. "Movies at 9. Sound good."

"Yeah." I answered not realizing it was more of a statement. "How are you feeling?" I asked, regarding her pregnancy.

"Obviously better than you" Regina teased. "Pick the movie when we get there."

She left me standing on her porch, feeling like a lovesick teenager.

Regina's POV 8 o'clock

I spent the next half hour trying to pick out my outfit. Everything in my closet was either dubbed boring or ugly. Finally I settled on a dove grey dress with a low back that was a little on the short side. I did my hair and makeup with my signature ruby red color and waited for time to go faster.

Emma's POV

I stared at my closet and finally found the perfect dress that was certain to make my date very happy. It was strapless and short. It was a bright red and matched my personality perfectly. I did a quick wing and each eye and got in my car to go pick up Regina. I drive there, excited and I'm there before I know it. I am careful not to walk through the lawn and see Regina's shadow waiting behind the door for me. I put my hand up to knock right as she opens the door. I hug her and give her a rose, one white, one black. I see behind her eyes that she understands the meaning and leans in to kiss me. Fireworks explode in my brain, but I'm secretly hoping that Regina will be able to hear my silent explosions. Regina is grinning uncontrollably as we walk to my petite little car.

Regina's POV

We get to the movies and naturally Swan choses the movie with the biggest crowd.

"What are we seeing? It better be worth it."I say, rolling my eyes.

"Mocking Jay part 2" Emma announced, a smile slowly creeping across her face.

Regina half groaned, causing a childish giggle to escape from Swan's lips. They finally paid for the ticket and wandered over to the snack bar. Emma instantly knew what she wanted.

"A pack of gummy worms and one large soda please" she asked the woman behind the counter.

Regina was carefully analyzing the choices, before finally settling upon 2 kit kats and a milkshake.

"I didn't know you were the milk shake type" said Emma playfully and bumped hips with Regina.

"You should know me to be full of surprises, Swan. A year ago I couldn't even stand to be in the same room as you." Regina said, smirking.

The turned to head into the theatre when they caught a glimpse of Henry and his friends coming out of another one. Regina grabbed Emma and swung her around the corner, against the wall. Both of their hearts were pounding. Regina tried so hard to stifle a laugh but it wasn't working. She and Emma laughed until their stomachs ached. The finally made their way to the theatre.

Once inside, they were one of the few people to see the movie since it had already been playing a couple of weeks. Emma took Regina's hand in her own and led her to the top of the theatre where they took their seats. The movie began and Regina placed the candy in between them to share.

(Spoiler alert to people who haven't seen the movie yet.)

About halfway through the movie, a character turned around about to climb through an entrance. Regina heard Emma drawn in her breath. The character sharply turned around and an army of mutts threw themselves at her, thirsty for blood. Emma grabbed Regina's hand and sat up suddenly, terrified out of her wits. She looked at Regina sheepisly but din't let go of her hand. Both of them watched the rest of the movie in peace. They stayed until the credits rolled around and they were the last ones in the theatre.

"Thank you" Regina said, as they stood at the theatre's exit. She leaned in to lightly brush Emma's lips.

"Your very welcome" Emma responded, almost at a whisper, blushing uncontrollably.

The hooked arms and walked out of the theatre arm in arm, feeling each others warmth.
