Chapter 2

"Knock knock" he smiled and enter my room. remarkably without knocking.
"Let me guess killing Steve in ur dreams?" He asked like a kid
"I don't give a damn about him, he hates me anyway".
"You kicked his ass publicly, he can't love ur new version" he chuckled
"Don't remind me I always wanna kick his ass " I laughed almost forgot he may leave me soon .
"He's nice, he is pretty good in logical aspects.."
"Just because someone is working with u doesn't mean they are good for me" I called .
"Okay okay " he waved his hands in gesture of giving up and leaves the room. And I went off to sleep.
"Hey dad ,give me the car keys.I have to go "
"Naah u are not going on work today. Jake's family is coming and u are not going anywhere."
"He's my boss. Okay dad..." I yelled
"Calm down sugar, he is now ur boss but once he was my student, remember? ."
He is actually so calm, and raised his eyebrow.
Fine. I surrendered
"His ...a... friend is also... coming. Are u okay with dat."
"Yeah I'm good. "
Then I move out and... run .. why am I running on streets like this ... but no control.
Steve is here, standing in formals... Looking unexpectedly good, looking older and undoubtedly mature.
"Hey I was about to go to ur house ....
You ready" he asked seems worried
"Why u are coming with him.. u should come alone" I questioned
"He's ur father's best student and my brother ,they share a great relationship. Can't believe my future wife is shouting on me" he smiled
And I ..well blushed and fell into his arms.
"It's a big day Steve."
He refused by shaking head.
"Big day is coming babe." I already imagined his smile.
I look up ,he grips my waist tight. I held myself at his height, this feeling always excites me. I can smell his breath somewhat like chocolate. I closed my eyes, his grip grows tighter. I am just about to
"Alice... Alice it's almost 8 "
"Wake up Alice if u don't wanna miss ur dinner "
No wonder it was a dream.
"No mom .. not dinner I miss daddy now. "I whispered to myself.
I went downstairs, sit in front of t.v. with dinner. I wonder if Steve actually smells like that.
"You know where's Jake" she asked
"Maybe u kicked him out when I was asleep." Knock out mom.
"Mind urself." She yelled
Jake come.... running... and he hugged me. Yelling some words I can't figure out.
"Okay but u should say eureka..." I snapped.
"I didn't invented something. I'm going on a trip. And guess the place."
"Aaaaa...... the grand canyon...." tough question Jake
"No idiot.... it's the triangle "I sit on table blocking my sight.
"Oooooh ..... that triangle.can I come .. Okay what triangle.?" I really don't know what he's talking about.
"The Bermuda triangle... alley". He said no wonder his voice was full of excitement. I frowned.
"But no one gets out alive from that place. "
"Oh.. it's just a laboratory project. We will go, we finish some research, and we're back.... Wait..u think I was going inside it like inside water, u want me alive or not? "His eyebrow's raised.
"Ya, of course I want u to go and never come back. " I laughed.
"Yeah sure good night." He said
"Eat something and then go Jake. "I almost whispered.
We finished our dinner watched Friends old season, and went to sleep.
I spent two days listening to Jake about the trip, talking to Soph, sleeping and eating of course. Mom never mentioned Mr Halt.
I woke up at 4 as the noise of opening and closing the door of cupboard.
As I was unable to shout this early, I crawl across the bed.
"Jake what are you doing" I could barely open my eyes.
"I have my flight 6 am ..so let me think..packing? " I hate his poor jokes.
I rolled my eyes and sit next to him.
"Yeah sure.. did She called you? "
"I don't know what are u talking about, alley ... "
I raised my brow then give him the tell me the truth right now glare.
"Stop doing that. She's just my friend. And best of all just not my type .
She is noisy,turns the whole world upside down and guess what she wants to own a horse as a pet. She's a freak, a crazy freak. I'm telling you alley..... "
"Seriously Jake it's all okay." I patted his back.
"I don't know alley, Serene is impossible." He shoved off his hands in defence.
"Oh my god you love Serene ?" I almost shout, she was really freak just opposite to the meaning of her name.
"What ? For the whole time you didn't know it was her?" He bite his lips in suspense.
"Of course not, I just guessed you looked so daydreaming from some days."
"Well, that's because I'm part of this project. Not because of Serene ."
"Oh I see big brother." I squeezed my eyes and stand cross armed.
He smiled. A long wide stupid grin was there plastered to his face.
